China owns us. If you think things are bad now, wait till they buy and take over our farms and agriculture industry. It won't be a pretty picture.

News flash, flounder, the Chinese AND the Indians are building ONE new coal power plant every month or so.

And they LOVE OV coal.

Sure glad we are bankrupting the US economy so the Chinese and Indians can take up the slack and pollute the world worse than the US ever did.

Are some people foolish enough to believe that Obama's Reichstag EPA will leave gas production alone once they are finished with coal? Near-sightedness IMHO.

The only people hanging on to the outdated world of extracting coal and burning the stuff are those who don't have any other options for the moment, probably not ever, based on the declining population who now call the upper Ohio Valley home. I'm not gloating; the loss of the vitality, the economic well being--all those long ago years that my grandmother toiled away,my aunt who worked for Stones, an uncle who worked for Continental Can in Warwood, later near Pittsburgh, a cousin in Martin's Ferry who worked a variety of needed jobs but thankless....I don't view the demise of Wheeling, the across the river ***** tonks of Bridgeport and Bellaire--the good years are as gone as the smaller dimension of my waist. Everyone who was there has gone, like into the ground--those home movies, the film from the sixties, a temporary view into a life gone by.

Princeton University, as well, along with a commercial spin-off company, "Liquid Light", in New Jersey, are establishing the basis of a commercial Carbon Dioxide recycling technology and business. For instance, late last year, Princeton was awarded: "US Patent 8,313,634 - Conversion of Carbon Dioxide to Organic Products; November 20, 2012; Inventors: Andrew Bocarsly and Emily Barton Cole; Assignee: Princeton University, NJ; Abstract: The invention relates to various embodiments of an environmentally beneficial method for reducing carbon dioxide. Government Interests: This invention was made with United States government support from National Science Foundation Grant No. CHE-0616475. The United States Government has certain rights in this invention. A method of converting carbon dioxide to provide at least ... ethanol." And, note, your tax money paid for that research, too, but you're not being told about it. Why?

Under Contract Number DE-AC02-05CH11231, your US Department of Energy, by the way, paid the University of California some of the tax money collected from you to develop a better catalyst to convert Carbon Dioxide into fuel alcohol at a lower energy cost. The project was quite successful, and US patents on the resultant technology have been applied for. Haven't been told about that, either, have you? Why?

Since we mentioned the fact, somewhere below, that Bayer Corporation is converting Coal power plant CO2 into plastics manufacturing raw materials at a Coal-fired power plant in Germany, we wanted to note that some reports have it that they're partnering there with Siemens, who are providing the CO2-capture tech, but, who also, as is revealed in: "United States Patent 7,989,507 - Production of Fuel ... Utilizing Waste Carbon Dioxide; 2011; Assignee: Siemens Aktiengesellschaft (AG), Munich, Germany", know how to convert Carbon Dioxide into gasoline. Again: Why aren't we being fully informed?

Even further, Methanol, fuel alcohol, trade named "Vulcanol", synthesized from industrial exhaust gas CO2 is being blended into gasoline and sold in filling stations in several European nations by the company "Carbon Recycling International", who were also, last year, awarded: "United States Patent 8,198,338 - Process for Producing Liquid Fuel from Carbon Dioxide and Water", which is a technology that converts reclaimed CO2 into gasoline and diesel. Why aren't we being informed?

mike: the beneficiary of this will be big oil/gas and GE who make the gas turbines. I am not sure if coal stations can be converted to gas ?Certainly the older coal one will be replaced with gas. Gas is also viewed as a major export now. You will also see the Canada pipeline approved now. Note the new gas processing plants in the OV are all Texas financed by the Houston oil megaplex. Gas is the "anointed" fuel. Just got christened by Obama. Coal is out. Pressure will be placed on other countries to go with USA exported gas/GE turbines for power vs coal going forward. This will benefit the OV.

atoddh: I disagree, we must use all energy sources at our disposal. There is no denying that there is a limit to available energy resources. Hopefully there will be a brekthrough in the future. Currently so called Green energy resources are woefully inadequate. Nuclear has potential but has gotten a lot of bad publicity (perhaps justified).

coal's loss will be a huge gain for gas and the OV: one of the World's greatest sources. Coal power stations will be essentially outlawed. Nuclear may have a come back with the new prefab smaller plants.

In a world that's warmer than it used to be, all weather events are affected by the warming planet,” Obama said.

OK some for the better, some for the worse. What do you do? ADAPT.

"Those who are feeling the effects of climate change don't have time to deny it — they're busy dealing with it

Oh, really? he's trying to make you believe that 'extreme weather events' are somehow connected to global warming but in reality 'extreme weather' is pretty*****common. In fact, it is the natural state of the planet. The cavemen had no control over it and neither do we. And, it is probably better that we can't 'control' the climate because we would probably **** it up.

"We don't have time for a meeting of the flat-Earth society," Obama said. "Sticking your head in the sand might make you feel safer, but it's not going to protect you from the coming storm."

Like an As-Seen-On-TV infomercial the President is saying we must act now.

(Translation: get this done before the citizenry have time to think about it)

"We know that the costs of these events can be measured in lost lives and lost livelihoods."

Their is no evidence, only speculation, to support the above claim.

"The planet is warming. Human activity is contributing to it," Obama said.

Warming? somewhat yes, but it has done this many time in the past and the planet has experienced devastating ice-ages many times in the past.

Working people of the world: Obama and the rest of the so-called globalists have an agenda which is not in your best interest. They want your property, they want to enslave you by making you dependent on them for survival. They seek to reduce the planet's population one way or another to increase their wealth. They are the NAZIs of the 21st century.
