We have the science in hand to turn the CO2 debate entirely on it's head. The US Navy has developed an entire suite of technologies that is capable of, first, collecting CO2 from the environment, and, then, in some cases using environmental energy to drive the processes, converting that CO2 into a full range of hydrocarbon fuels. Bayer Corporation is, right now, in Germany, collecting Coal-fired power plant CO2 and using it to synthesize plastics. Right now, in Washington, DC, an international conference hosted by Penn State University is taking place where scientists from around the world are presenting technologies for the productive, profitable use of CO2 as a raw material for fuels, chemicals and plastics. Why is none of that being reported to us?

Da Facts:5/13/2013 from Daily Caller

... But one thing is indisputable: Coal mining employment took another tumble in April, shedding 1,600 jobs from the previous month.

Coal mining now employs 83,600 Americans, down from March’s 85,200 jobs and down from February’s 84,700. A year ago the total stood at 88,500 jobs."

Gooseman “40 years ago those with their hair on fire said the Clean Air Act would destroy the automobile industry and bankrupt America.”

And only 4 years ago Barry Bankrupter bailed out the auto industry with $34 BILLION in taxpayer dollars to keep it from going bankrupt. And Detroit looks like a war zone. And the Big Three automakers have moved most of their production and most of their jobs overseas. And America is now $17 TRILLION in debt.

Seems those “hair on fire” conservatives were right.

Silly goose... LOL

Big Lie of global warming/climate change Despite President Obama’s incessant claims that the Earth is heating, scientists in both Russia and China have been publishing data from scientific studies disputing the Big Lie of global warming/climate change.

The Chinese Academy of Sciences—50,000 members strong—recently published “Climate Change Reconsidered and Climate Change Reconsidered: 2011 Interim Report”, two hefty volumes with more than 1,200 pages of peer-reviewed data on climate change published by The Heartland Institute in 2009 and 2011

As always the coal and electric industry bet that it could get away without the expense of updating. FirstEnergy did what was right for it's people and the environment. It is simple, one company pocketed their profits and the other reinvested them wisely.

According to documents obtained by TNR, Murray reprimands employees who fail to donate to his chosen candidates, going so far as to disseminate spreadsheets showing how much or how little his different subsidiaries are giving.

Until his recent influence on national politics, Murray was perhaps best known for his role in the Crandall Canyon Mine disaster, in which six miners and three rescuers died at a Murray property in Utah in 2007. Murray blamed the tragedy on an earthquake; experts disagreed. wonderwhy bigmike doesn't get it?

The only reason that intelligent energy isn't be utilized is the corporations can't control the sun, water, and wind. It's capitalism at it's ugliest... money is king no matter the consequences. It IS being used successfully in many areas.

The use of solar energy has not been opened up because the oil industry does not own the sun. Ralph Nader

The sun, wind, and water are alive and well as real energy sources. On 4th Avenue in Tucson I saw a whole city business building powered solely by solar panels used as carports for shaded parking. And I can't tell you how many windmills I saw in Texas and Kansas. It was astounding! Canada has been successfully utilizing hydroelectric energy for decades. You're brainwashed by the coal/steele valley if you don't recognize the elemental forces as our supreme energy...clean and renewable.

We are like tenant farmers chopping down the fence around our house for fuel when we should be using Natures inexhaustible sources of energy — sun, wind and tide. ... I'd put my money on the sun and solar energy. What a source of power! I hope we don't have to wait until oil and coal run out before we tackle that. — Thomas Alva Edison
