Judicial Reform is sorely needed for all businesses not just some. Several years ago the legislature recognized the need for Judicial reform and passed much needed reforms... but only for ONE special interest industry. Doctors and Hospitals. Doctors were leaving the state in droves and hospitals were going bankrupt due to the WV Judicial System. Law suits were receiving unjust awards resulting in even frivolous law suits being settled for fear of these awards. The Lawyers controlling the WV Legislature could have made changes for all industries but did not want to kill their cash cow. The special interest of lawyers prevents prosperity in WV.

One issue not mentioned was Judicial Reform. Businesses and insurance companies are afraid to go to court due to unjust awards like the $100,000 suit in Harrison County that resulted in a court award in December 2011 of $50 MILLION. What business in their right mind would expose itself to such risk (including the cracker plant)?
