"Police had been contacted in both the local area and Florida about Bazo's disappearance, but that information apparently was never entered into the National Crime Information Center database." - so basically, family and/or friends CONTACTED police to report the guy missing, and no one bothered to put the information into the system? I am getting really tired of being told to "report such and such to the authorities" and to depend on it to be handled correctly, just to find out later that none of the so called authorities did their jobs and actually gave a damn.
