The most valid statement in your editorial was "But it is not the unions the new superintendent will have to battle. It's the toughest special interests of all - moms, dads and the rest of their communities." In the rural areas of WV the parents do not care about education, they think that the education system is out to get them and mistreats the poor little child everyday. Good Luck at fixing the culture if ignorance.
