mikeyd, Tell Kessler what the gas tax money is for!

"Kessler's idea for the West Virginia Future Fund would hold back 25 percent of severance tax dollars resulting from production of Marcellus Shale gas and oil in West Virginia. It would place the money in an interest-bearing, special revenue account. The principal and interest of the Future Fund then would be encumbered for 20 years to ensure its growth."

Hey, when you spend millions (twice) to have a tunnel repaired and the result is a hideous piece of crap like the Wheeling Tunnel then it's obvious that the problem is with the State Government. How in the world they could accept that result as a job well done should be questioned by all residents. Now they want to get rid of the excise tax on gasoline and raise the sales tax? The result of that will be that you will still pay the same for gas and more for everything else. A shell-game is all that plan is.

I am sure that the state will wiggle, squirm and finagle more ways to increase OUR taxes. Honest tax payers no longer have a chance.

The 25 percent of severance tax dollars should be made part of the State Constitution so no other administration could get their hand on it and limit it for the future. Just like SS it should be in a lock box to be used in the future. An who was the politician who want to take off the toll on the WV Turnpike and let the public support it. We need less lawyers and career politicians in the State Legislature to make WV more like a growing Texas state. Their legislature only meets every two year and still maintain to out grow other state what a great cost saving idea.

Let the legislature only meets every two years and let the cost savings help pay for highways and education. Just think how many less regulations and taxes could benefit the growth of West Virginia. Just a common sense idea for government.

Get ready to bend over!!!

Notice there is ZERO mention of those who are DESTROYING the roads and bridges to PAY for their repair!!

Again the crooks in Charleston intend to force US to pay for THEIR damage!!!!!!

The BRIBES certainly have worked!!!!
