Zimmerman Verdict Prompting Rallies

Mostly peaceful despite cries of outrage in teen’s death

Rallies? When they're smashing police car windows they're not rallies. They're riots.

Typical AP progressive trash reporting. And typical liberal progressive reaction to losing in a court of law.

There was a fair trial and the man was acquitted for reasons of self defense. There are a lot more white victims of black violence than the other way around. Are they going to hold a civil rights trial every time a black person is declaired not guilty if the victim is white?

The verdict would have been exactly the same if he had been defending himself against a while assialant beating his head on the ground.

All I have to say is this. When O.J. Simpson walked out a free man after he went to trial for killing two white people. We did not riot,we did not cry for the federal government to overturn a state ruling, we didn't call the mafia or any of our friends who would be the white equivalent to the black panthers, we did not call the national association for white people and throw a fit. Of course the family was upset with the verdict. There were no unlawful demonstrations, there were no threats of rioting and property damage. the evidence was over whelming. We did not threaten to hunt him down and make the rest of his life miserable. O.J. had defense team that made sure every thing was followed to the letter of the law and jury only heard the parts relevant to the law.The shrunken glove didn't fit.So we accepted this verdict when we and you all know that he killed those two white people. Not by accident, not during a struggle..he flat out mutilated them. It's over..let it go.

Frances Robles and Scott Hiaason | Miami Herald

After interviewing nearly three dozen people in the George Zimmerman murder case, the FBI found no evidence that racial bias was a motivating factor in the shooting of Trayvon Martin, records released Thursday show.

Even the lead detective in the case, Sanford Det. Chris Serino, told agents that he thought Zimmerman profiled Trayvon because of his attire and the circumstances — but not his race.

Serino saw Zimmerman as “having little hero complex, but not as a racist.”

Government's own FBI said there was no racism involved. Yet Obama wants to pursue civil rights case?

OBAMA is the RACIST, not Zimmerman.

I would say there is no way Zimmerman can be charged federally, but the cops who investigated this matter didn't feel he should have been charged and we all saw how that went. I guess Zimmerman needs to gear up for another trial, this time one that is stacked with the "RIGHT" jurors.

It is truely a shame that Zimmerman did not stay in his car as the police directed him to do, instead of pursuing. The fundamental principle of my Christian faith are not to pursue someone while I have a loaded gun. Zimmerman, if Christian, would have offered Tayvon a ride home to get out of the rain and we would not know either of these two's names.

I hate this. This trial proves racism and racial bias lives in our country, but not in the way the mass media is portraying it. People say that if Trayvon Martin wasn't black George Zimmerman would be found guilty. If Trayvon Martin wasn't black, this wouldn't have even gone to court. Instead, the NAACP and the mass media demanded GZ be arrested. Justice prevailed. Leftist racism lost. Get over it.

Wvpoophead, stop with friggen lie about not following "police orders". A 9-11 dispatcher on a telephone is NOT a police officer on the scene and you are not "required" to do anything.

Trayvon was walking toward his fathers house when he noticed a "creepyass white cracker" (his RACIST WORDS" following him.

He turned 180 DEGREES, walking toward Zimmerman, and confronted him.

If Martin were following Christian principles, he would not of given his "neighbor" a beatdown, forcing the victim to use deadly force.

Clearly many people especially celebs and news people think that Zimmerman should have been convicted simply because they perceive him as white and he was involved in an incident with a black man. In the world of PC Mania that means Zimmerman should go to jail for the rest of his life to make them feel better. The jury had only the facts before it, and the prosecutor to their great shame, bowed to pressure nad put on witnesses who seemed to be lying. But in the end, after facts where displayed the jury made the right decision. The perception that it was "murder" was created by the media and leftist politicians, including the President who made a racist comment early on. Remember..when it first happened the local Prosecuting Atty, after looking at the facts, decided to wait for more investigation before arresting Zimmerman. but the President and pressure was exerted and Zimmerman was charged with murder. We even had network news get caught altering the 911 call. Member

Any fallout from the decision falls squarely on the liberal media and people like Al Sharpton. From editing audio tapes to make Zimmerman appear racist (NBC), to tagging Zimmerman as a "white Hispanic" (NY Times) or just white (AP), claiming Zimmerman called Martin a c**n (CNN), claims that Zimmerman was uninjured (MSNBC)were all mis-guided and irresponsible "reporting". This sad case of an overzealous wannabe cop and a not so innocent young man (not a "kid") certainly could've ended differently, but the media stoking racial fires is inexcusable.

This has nothing to do with "liberal media" or anything else other than idiots acting like F-N animals. Whether you're a stupid black person, a stupid white person, or a stupid person of any color in're still a stupid person. These riotous actions are more criminal than anything that occurred in the Zimmerman case. Any heated situation can turn dangerous and/or deadly.

Have to agree with acoustic on this one.

And, I can almost guarantee it will become deadly.

It is obvious that most of these rioters don't have jobs. Even if I wanted to protest, I couldn't. I have to get up in the morning and go to work. They, the rioters are sleeping now.

Several hig-profile attorneys and judges have said the Special Prosecutor in the case needs to lose her law license. She bypassed the grand jury and filed charges herself. Then she withheld crucial evidence from the defense. In cases like these too many see the opportunity to make a name for themselves and she was certainly one of them. I hope Mr. Zimmerman goes to a country with no extradition pact with the U.S. The jury ruled for him and any further processes are double jeopardy.

@ budman..I said that from day one. the boy had a phone..if he was scared why didn't call the police on the creepy ass cracker? Zimmerman did call the police. who in their right mind that intended to murder some one would call the police first? It's over..leave the man alone and make a strong public statement the the black panthers who have already made threats on video and publicly that any one who bothers this man WILL be arrested and prosecuted for hate crimes.

CNN) -- One of the jurors who acquitted George Zimmerman said she had "no doubt" he feared for his life in the final moments of his struggle with Trayvon Martin, and that was the definitive factor in the verdict. The juror spoke to CNN's "Anderson Cooper 360" on Monday night. Her identity was concealed. She said she believed Zimmerman's "heart was in the right place" the night he killed Martin, but that he didn't use "good judgment" in confronting the Florida teen. "I think George Zimmerman is a man whose heart was in the right place, but just got displaced by the vandalism in the neighborhoods and wanting to catch these people so badly that he went above and beyond what he really should have done. But I think his heart was in the right place. It just went terribly wrong," she said. If anything, Zimmerman was guilty of not using "good judgment," the juror said. "When he was in the car, and he had called 911, he

shouldn't have gotten out of that car," she said. She also said she believes Martin threw the first punch in their confrontation. Zimmerman felt his life was in danger before shooting Martin, and it was his voice that was heard screaming for help in 911 calls, the juror said she believes.
