Well, when you name a card table you bought at a yard sale "KDC Investments" this is what happens. A rousing "Bad job!" to all those who failed to do their due diligence, and I'm sure they know who they are.

"Congressman Bob Ney wanted to have bridge torn down, while in Congress, but No Go by Gov. Ted Strickland. I think the Then Gov. Ted musta went to The Obama Mushhead Academy as a kid!! Buncha real Democrat Braintrusts"

WOW, Talk about revisionist history! The above commentary is a classic example.

Yeah, this Chaklos guy is a complete tool. Maybe when his (sort of) demolition career is over, he can run for police chief in Buttwood.

I have said this before and I am sure that I will be moved to say it again-a brown paper bag full of Benjamins, quietly passed to Horsemeat, would have smoothed the way.

Hiring Horsemeat's "security" during the bridge demolition? The permit would have been approved two years ago.

Chaklos has been in the business for some time, it seems. Maybe he just hasn't had any experience dealing with the Ohio Valley Mafia.

What I don't understand is, why would anyone in their right mind build businesses and homes under or within the danger zone of a bridge? Did anyone ever stop to think that something might happen that the bridge could possibly collapse? So this is what Longwell and Kuca are concerned about is having a million dollar bond for safety purposes, yet they want the bridge torn down too because it's clearly a safety hazard? Who's on first? I don't know! Third base! WOOOOOO!

So Benwood didn't get thier money as they wanted, so now they'll pull some dirty pool to make Chaklos pay another way. So the guy has 3 liens against this property and he's changed contact info. over the past few years. Big deal, this is simply another case where Benwood themselves are holding up this entire process, and yet they're yelling the loudest that the bridge is falling down around them and is in disrepair. Heaven help them if someone is injured!

Too bad the judge didn't simply look at Longwell and Benwood's attorney (who was, I thought, an independent lawyer who'd hold Chaklos' bond in escrow...Good on Chaklos for not allowing that!) and say to them "None of that matters, this bridge needs to come down, get out of the way and allow this to finally happen!. Then the judge could say to Chaklos "You have 45 days to begin real and noticeable progress on taking down this structure, the state will hold a performance bond, here are the terms for getting it back".

KUDOS TO KUCA & LONGWELL

Where are the misinformed critics of Benwood City leaders now? Their caution and diligence spared the citizenry grief, danger and escape from an otherwise unaffordable scam!

Everyone with any common sense left Bellaire and Benwood many years ago. What is left? A local goverment organized by "Smurfs".

Buttwood wanted that $500,000 held by Guida-an "independent third party." Turns out now that he was representing the town all along.

Why didn't Chaklos just give Horsemeat his due and hire his security team, for, you know, "protection"?
