Its a little known part of the welfare state. Once you have accepted the idea that the gov will take care of your housing, your food, your medical needs and raise your children for you, you have a lot of time on your hands. But what you don't have is CASH. If you work (OMG not that) then you lose some of your free stuff, so you can't work. But you need cash. So how do you get it? You deal drugs and become a black cultural hero, the drug dealer and ********er. If people had to work to live they would not have time to hang out all day and night doing criminal conduct. Black community leadership and liberal politicians created the climate and culture of violence and do not take ownerhsip of that. They blame guns. How easy is that? The minister and the black politicians fostered this culture and now are reaping what they have sowed. In order to live off the taxpayer you have to have a side business and in the hood its crime and violence. Celebs will make movies about you.

people are being assaulted in almost every town and the main media is not reporting it. drudge and breitbart and occasionly fox are. when the main news media does report an assault do you notice that they never report the race of the assaulted or the offenders! wonder why. just like when a politician gets in trouble if it is one party the party is never mentioned, but the other party is in headlines!

If they REALLY wanted this to stop, it WOULD have been YEARS ago!!

The bottom line is when the drug dealers have this kind of money to pay out bribes, they have free rule!!

Give Lenny Falzone a call and see if he can offer a way to make these dirt bags sleep with the fishes!!

Is there any black and white leadership in Steubenville working with law enforcement to get a handle on the violence?

<sarc> Great idea Gooseman. The black and white leaders should hold a conference, perhaps in Las Vegas or Miami Beach. Get real.

POlitically Incorrect facts:

About 9000 murders a year are Black on BLACK crime

Virtually ever high crime city in the USA has a high black population:

Flint, Detroit, Chicago, St. Louis, Memphis, etc. etc. all high black population.

Where's the outrage from Jesse and Al about all of the young black me being killed by other black men?

No, they just want to pander the Trayvon Martin case.

The local police departments need to be careful about who they hire. They should hire intelligent, tough, moral people whose number one priority is to clean up the streets and destroy thugs so that good people can live in peace.

We don't need more undereducated, undersized psychos who become cops so that they can't back at the bullies from high school.

Authorize the local PD to take action. Look the other way. Once thugs start turning up dead or thrown in the river, who is going to complain? Yes, I know that the baby mammas (age 27) and the NAACP will complain about "racism" and talk about their peace loving "youth" but they are full of ****e and they know it.

I grew up in a small town where the police chief and his guys would beat you to death if you were a thug. Child rapists, kidnappers, drug dealers, etc. would not be welcome.

The cops know who the ********ers are. Start slamming those faces into the pavement-repeatedly-and go from there.

Gee, I wonder about the racial makeup of the troublemakers?

What about the racial makeup of all of the new residents of Wheeling I have been saying? Those six "youths" in the Grove yesterday, with their pants hanging down. Hmmm?

Let's just admit it-it is black thugs who are the cause of 95% of these problems.

First, start cutting off taxpayer subsidies to those involved in the drug trade.

Second, crack down on renters. Yes, discrimination should be legal. You should not have to rent to thugs.

Third, start educating young people. Get them back to church, teach them moral values and personal responsibility. If their parents are no good, start punishing both the parents and the child for crimes committed by the child.

Fourth, authorize police officers to take any and all measures to clean up a town. Did Wyatt Earp clean up Dodge City by being nice? No, he broke heads. Look at New York City-very tough on crime and it shows.

Steubenville has been controlled by the very same corrupt political party since 1933, Democratic. The limp wrist drunken hit & rum do - nothing mayor has been re elected since the 1980's. Council members are familiar names with self invested special interest protecting their own feathered next.

The U.S. Justice Dept has had the City Police on a Decree and the Ohio State Police has been doing much of the cities law enforcement recently.

The school system is equally embarrassing from coverups to all out patronage and cowards. The world hear Big Red & they envison an immoral coach protecting his " Rape Crew ". Well played Steubenville ! Well played !!

what "group" of people is she talking about? I hope she did not make a race related comment. LOL

Laura Sirilla took over as president of the Hilltop Community Development Corp. in April. She and her husband rented on Pleasant Heights before buying a home on one of La Belle's safer and cared-for streets 10 years ago.

"It's not the ghetto war zone that people want to think it is," she said. "But obviously there is some crime, and it kind of seems to be within a certain group of people."

Right, Goosy. This is a "progressive" politics issue. When you liberals pay people for doing nothing for decades, they develop a culture of not supporting themselves. Then when you pull their welfare life-support system because the level of debt you've run up becomes undeniably embarrassing, and you bankrupt the industries that used to employ them in a misguided effort to be "green" or "economically just," they turn to crime as the only way they can feed, clothe, and house themselves and their families.

Liberals, you built that.

From the article “[Councilman Gerald DiLoreto] said said those "absentee landlords" show little discretion when selecting their tenants. ‘Certain landlords don't care who they rent to,’ he said. ‘I'm not going to mention any names, but they know who they are.’”

I thought it was illegal to discriminate in “selecting” tenants of rental properties. This is what you get when liberal politicians outlaw freedom of choice when it comes to private property rights and free trade. Liberals, you built that.
