The Post Office, and particularly door delivery is important to Americans, and a lifeline for the disabled. When you look at the immensity of the Fed Gov and all of the things that it does that make no sense at all, you need to remember that the Constitution only gives the Fed Gov few duties. They are tasked with having a military for defense, standardized money, interstate commerce and operating a postal service. They are eager to dump the postal service and do what with the money saved? The USPS lost $20 billion last year, ironically that is the same amount of money spent by Obama to depose Moomar in Libya with his 24/7, 8 month bombing campaignn. In the world of swooning fascists (Progressive) that was important to the world. But not so much to Americans since Moo was actually an ally and was no threat to the US. It was just Progressives (like Hitler) on the march. So lets not spend another $20 billion to invade Syria, lets deliver the mail to people in Iowa and Maine.

Gee I wonder how much the gov't will charge us to rent these so called cluster f.. boxes.

And what happens when you have packages delivered that are too big to fit in a mailbox. Will they just sit the package at the bottom of the cluster f.. mailboxes for anyone to take?

Cluster Boxes have been in use in apartments and condos for 40 years and in detached houses in CA for about 15 years.

Doesn't work as well in rural settings though. But that is the PROBLEM with the USPS, they HAVE to deliver in very rural areas where they lose their ass.

They should just privatize it, UPS and FedEx would do a better job anyways without a loss.

Permit companies to advertise on stamps instead of putting stamps out promoting religious holidays which the majority of the public refuses to buy (ie christians). Close PO's which virtually overlap like McM/Benwood. Get rid of those in upper management postions which aren't needed. Thes 3 steps would be a good start

are we sure we elected these people to do these things ?How about you combine the postal service and a big pharmacy ? over the counter mail pickup, including state and federal sales tax. How about only the receiver pays postage after they agree they wanted the stuff sent to them ?
