McKinley is starting to grown on me in the fact he approaches problems with some common sense while most elected officials for a lack common sense are always trying to trade a vote for a vote ending up with poor dumb laws. May be we should have a common sense IQ rating to let the people know how the elected officials think.

McKinley maybe stumbled on the right comparison of the how America is really divided by septic tank owners and public sewage system users. We have all these PC people trying to tell us what and how we should be doing things in reality they have no common sense and should not even be in charge of a outhouse..

McKinley should be thanked for making every one know that America is really divided by septic tank owners and public sewage system users. He is the right man to unite people with different sewage ideologies.

Chokingwhoops, It certainly hasn't happened under this administration! Obama's fiscal policy (via quantitative easing) has made the rich richer while the "others" have suffered. The unemployment rates among blacks and the young has gotten worse from even last year. I guess the "when" is when the current admin is bounced out along w/ the old school Republicans who are almost as worthless!!

Google "Bureau of Labor Statistics Table 1. Median usual weekly earnings of full-time wage and salary workers by sex, quarterly averages, seasonally adjusted" and you'll see that in constant dollars Median weekly earnings were $344 the 1st quarter of 2009, $338 the 1st qtr of 2011 and $331 the 1st qtr of 2013!!

It's not working and this administration is making things WORSE!!!

WHEN does "life, liberty and the pursuit of happiness" for the super rich and privileged " trump or surpass the "life, liberty and the pursuit of happiness" for the others?

Well, when?

Congress gave broad authority to federal EPA to protect the environment. Clean Water Act, Clean Air Act, Safe Drinking Water Act, etc rules are federal rules, and states must create monitoring, assessment, and permitting programs to comply with federal law. EPA provides oversight but can take permitting prograns back when hore-bag state politicians sleep with industry and then not enforce or try to weaken limits. McKinley and the House is trying to make history here. Congress has never attempted to create a water regulatory program in a statute and entirely cut the US EPA out of the process.

Choking whoopee: Very good cut and paste.

Preamble to the Constitution

We the people of the United States, in order to form a more perfect union, establish justice, insure domestic tranquility, provide for the common defense, promote the general welfare, and secure the blessings of liberty to ourselves and our posterity, do ordain and establish this Constitution for the United States of America.

A very clear and very simple statement Whoopee, where is the "life, liberty and the pursuit of happiness" part?

Did Congress McKinley ever read this?

Preamble to the Constitution

We the people of the United States, in order to form a more perfect union, establish justice, insure domestic tranquility, provide for the common defense, promote the general welfare, and secure the blessings of liberty to ourselves and our posterity, do ordain and establish this Constitution for the United States of America.

Thanks Whoops,

Preamble to the Constitution

We the people of the United States, in order to form a more perfect union, establish justice, insure domestic tranquility, provide for the common defense, promote the general welfare, and secure the blessings of liberty to ourselves and our posterity, do ordain and establish this Constitution for the United States of America.

No mention of Corporations.

Whoops!

Funny that they did not mention that in the "Preamble of the Constitution".

Well, deWraith thinks the Preamble to the [Declaration of Independence] he must mean the Constitution has no meaning.

deWraith also says:

"Hence is has no legal meaning, just a "feel good" staying for low information Liberals."

Proves my point.

Come on guys, go easy on the Choker for expressing his opinions, his post to a previous article proclaimed that "Teabillys often mistake opinions for facts." provides justification for his postings.

Hadn't heard of the Teabilly Clan before, but if they are kin to Choker, they must have interesting family reunions.

Choker, daWraith is correct that, since environmental protection is one of those “powers not delegated to the United States by the Constitution,” it is “reserved to the States” under the 10th Amendment. So McKinley’s bill mandating action by the states and granting the Federal Government powers it doesn't have under the Constitution is actually very liberal.

That leftist bill even mandates state environmental protection actions and goes even further to provide for federal oversight to ensure environmental protection actions done by the federal government if states shirk their responsibilities.

And yet you whiny liberal loons are still unsatisfied. I think you just like to hear yourselves whine. LOL

BTW Croaker "Life Liberty and the pursuit of happiness" is NOT IN THE US CONSTITUTION.

It is from the PREAMBLE to the Declaration of Independence. Hence is has no legal meaning, just a "feel good" staying for low information Liberals.
