Moniz said the administration has spent $6 billion on clean-coal technology with an emphasis on the capture, storage and reuse of carbon emissions.

They could throw 60 billion at CCT and it would still be a massive failure. Of course all of this is achievable, but no one ever mentions the costs involved, including this joker. In addition, Moniz get a frickin haircut!

WRAP your flag around THIS Triton... these shale gas producers aren't interested in American GI's, US energy independence, or the American consumer, anywhere beyond their BOTTOM LINE. Face the fact$. Their goal is to sell to the highest bidders, probably India & China which will raise prices for American consumers. And if 'clean coal technology' were actually created, maybe that dinosaur fuel would have a chance. As far as methane leaks from 'natural' gas production, until the gas industry solves their widely known and ongoing problems with massive methane emissions beyond 2%, they will still get a fracking 'F' for being the bridge fuel to anything more than a GANGPLANK to more global warming. See Dr Ingraffea's letter to the New York Times: **** nytimes. com/ 2013/07/29/opinion/gangplank-to-a-warm-future. html?hp&_r=0

To say that the Obama administration supports coal in any form is absurd. If you look at what he does and not what he says you get a better picture of him. From his first campaign he wooed the radical left and promised an end to the use of coal. I noted that this guy who looks like someone showing up for a Animal House frat reunion says we have to find ways to use coal and gas cleaner. Gas is the most clean burning fossil fuel and produces almost no emission. Just a few yrs ago the enviros were demanding that we move to natural gas instead of coal and touted its clean value. But now we actually have gas supplies to can fuel a nation and the enviros have decided that they are against that too. Obama does not want to leave the ME and does not mind spending US soldier's lives like pocket change to keep us on the oil teat. HIs energy policy is a shill for his foreign policy and we lose in both.
