"Mary Taylor, the state's most vocal critic",,,,,

Ohio's clearinghouse exchange type of insurance plan will do nothing to lower insurance costs because insurers have no motivation to lower rates.

In California's active purchaser exchange its the exchange that bids for your insurance just like Medicaid's strategy wherein insurers submit bids. Even CA's large employers will shop for their employeees' insurance on their state's exchange.

Under Ohio's choice? Employers won't.

Thanks, vocal critic Mary and Gov sell-the-farm kasich.

Our so-called leaders speak, with words they try to jail you.. They subjugate the meek, but it's the rhetoric of failure - Sting

From today's The Columbus Dispatch. HEALTH CARE Claim of high rates under Obamacare called misleading. “For consumers, all you can do is walk away from this confused. Averages are pretty much meaningless,” said Larry Levitt, senior vice president of the Kaiser Family Foundation.

“These are sticker prices, and very few people will pay these prices,” Levitt said. “Many will qualify for subsidies.” Try again unIntelligencer.

From the article "Gov. John Kasich chose to let Washington operate the exchange, instead of having the state set up its own. "

So when your rates go up, don't blame Kasich. Elections have consequences. Barry Obankrupter, you built this.

Georgia up 198%!!!!!

" In a press release today, Georgia insurance commissioner Ralph T. Hudgens warns that, because of Obamacare, "Georgia insurance companies are demanding massive rate increases up to 198 percent for some individuals." Hudgens claims this runs contrary to President Obama's promise to "Americans that Obamacare would lower rates."

As a result, Hudgens "announced today that he has requested an emergency delay of the filing deadline for Obamacare rates from U.S. Health and Human Services Secretary Kathleen Sebelius, and for her to show reasons why the rates submitted by Georgia health insurers are not justified by Obamacare," his state office explains. The commissioner of insurance office explains: Companies opting to participate in the Exchange have provided the Department with evidence that their rates are justified and in compliance with Georgia law, citing the new Obamacare mandates as the reason. So insurance companies will be faced with paying for patients who were previously uninsurable like AIDS patients.

A typical Aids patient can run through $1 million to $5 million in lifetime insurance costs.

So NOW my premium will be spread over those people who were previously exempt.

Therefore my premium will go _______UP or ___________ DOWN?

You morons. The people you're referring to currently pay $0.00 for health insurance. Under the Affordable Healthcare Act everyone will contribute something. You would think the average dumbupilcans would embrace that. Instead you argue that people who pay nothing should have access to the same Dr's and hospitals as everyone who pays. No logic there.

Wvcoffee, the people who currently pay $0.00 for health insurance will STILL be paying $0.00 for health insurance. NOT everyone will contribute something. That money will come DIRECTLY from insurance payers’ rate increases, or indirectly from insurance payers’ tax subsidies. You can’t get blood out of a turnip, moron.

And it’s YOU who argue that people who pay nothing should have the same access to the same doctors and hospitals as everyone who pays. Those who can’t pay should receive charity care, just as they should receive charity everything else.

"Hiring in July was concentrated in sectors typically characterized by low-wage jobs: Retailers, for example, added 47,000 jobs and restaurants and bars hired 38,000 workers.

July's job growth was also below the average monthly gains over the past year, and revisions to June and May figures show that the economy added 26,000 fewer jobs than originally reported.

Meanwhile, the average workweek fell slightly, and average wages fell by about 2 cents to $23.98 an hour."

I guess they will all need health care subsidies!

Based on the Labor Utilization rate from the BLS, if the same figure were used as when Bush left office, the REAL Obama unemployment rate this month would be 11%.
