This is why you need to control spending and put a cap on pensions. Government employees are being paid more than private industry and have better benefits too. While the citizens are over taxed and losing good paying jobs the government fails to control spending.

Things always go wrong when public employees have too much power. A prime example of why there should be term limits to end the power of self promotion and pay raises as was the example of the city manager pay raise.

That’s not as farfetched as it sounds. We elected a President with no experience except as a high school student whose record of chooming achievement consisted of inventing the “roof hit” and the “interception,” a college student with no record of attending any classes, a college professor with no record of teaching any classes, a “community organizer” who helped ACORN in their charitable work of advising pimps on how to get low-interest Government loans, and a Senator who spent more time campaigning than legislating and voted “present” the rest of the time he was present. And look at all the hope and change that got us.

She wants to be a college president in W.Va. with no relevant experience whatsoever except treasurer of Chicago aka cruise director on the Titanic? No, thanks.

I suppose it's possible there's one virtuous lady on the staff of that whorehouse. Who happens to be "good friends" with the chief pimp. But not likely. With very few exceptions, you are the company you keep.

From the Chicago Reader, "Cook County is a whorehouse," says Cook County commissioner Maria Pappas. No matter what side you gotta like that quote!

Interesting. Ms Pappas significantly cuts government overhead and staffing, but some here attack her because she admires President Obama. My reaction can be summed up by "Go Vikings!"

Chicago has apparently taught a great deal of people how to take what they have learned and "share" it with other communities. I mean, after all, it's done wonders from Steubenville, OH. Just look at all the "pharmaceutical" exports that Chicago has sent to them. All the ********ers and drug dealers are proud of their Chi-Town heritage. It taught them every thing they know.

From the article “Pappas added she considers Obama "a good friend." In her career, Pappas has traveled around the globe to help teach people how to address problems with public debt and excess government spending.”

Let me guess. Borrow more money. Print more money. Raise taxes on the “rich.” Spread the wealth around. Pander to the liberal press. Stonewall the investigations. Did I forget anything from the Democrit playbook?

What a good gal she is. She came from a lovely family from Warwood. I remember them well.

Easy. Like being the treasurer on a pirate ship. As long as Blackbeard gets any share of the loot he wants, the accounting doesn't matter. Plunder the towns, the Captain's share goes to his quarters, spread the spoils around to the crew, record lies on the ship's log to hide the crimes. What could be easier than Democrit treasurer?

That HAS to be one of the toughest jobs in the world!

Being treasurer of the most CORRUPT city in the most CORRUPT state of the union where 120% of the population votes Democratic@
