Critics say other laws, like immigration bill, will be enforced in pick-and-choose manner

August 6, 2013

WASHINGTON (AP) — For many House conservatives, President Barack Obama’s decision to delay a central provision of his health care law has emerged as a major arguing point — not against that law but......

troll - 'I don't see waves of rich Asian anchor babies as a serious economic problem. '

Oh so? Here's a personal example. My cousin lives in the Research Triangle Park near Raleigh, NC. Upscale community hard hit by the recent housing collapse. Hordes of Chinese 'students' and bank employes living in our country (especially anchor babies, now 17 years old.. acting as 'agents' for their parents and relatives back in commy china). They have bought up BLOCKS of underwater properties. Within 24/48 hours they rent out the homes to minority folk from Durham, NC who bring their 'values' to the neighborhood (dope, whores, partying, robbery, on and on). Property values of true traditional owners continue to FALL because of this.

The Ohio Valley does not see much of what is going on in the rest of the country. The Chinese are not stupid....they have not really invaded WV like they have in NC, CA, NY and other successful parts of the country. They are here to USE America...not contribut

rover, what's the ratio of rich Asian anchor babies to poor Latino anchor babies? 1 to 10,000? 1 to 100,000? I don't see waves of rich Asian anchor babies as a serious economic problem. Maybe I’m just too focused on actual facts and numbers.

I do agree with you that anchor baby citizenship has to be shut down, though. It's like giving away the grand prize to parents who commit a crime. Encourages crime.

I suppose someone will now claim conservatives hate children. And Latinos. LOL

Ragnar - make anchor baby citizenship your first priority!

Damn, I hate that abuse! Having spent over a decade in Asia I have a fair grasp of thinking in China, Japan and Korea. It's not the Latino illegals that irk me so much as the rich Asians who fly first class to New York or Los Angeles to have their kids. They do it as a 'hedge' against future turmoil in their native countries so they have an escape valve. They also want their kids to gain entrance to the prestige universities like Harvard, Yale, UC Berkeley. Also, rich Koreans want their potential sons to be able to escape that country's military draft. It's galling! I even read an article in a Korean paper with one female reader ******** how our Government MUST build Korean style hospitals that provide their type of 'nursing care' to their newborns!

We have got to 'define' our Constitutional phrasing of 'natural born' citizen as meaning at least one of the Parents are American citizens.

Rasmussen:

Implementation of any massive new program requires cooperation, something the health care law can't count on. Overall, just 46 percent of voters nationwide have a favorable opinion of the law, while 49 percent offer a negative view.

The reasons are pretty much the same as they've been all along. Just 22 percent believe the law will reduce the cost of health care. Forty-eight percent believe costs will go up.

By similar margins, voters expect the law to hurt the quality of care and drive up the federal budget deficit.

Overall, just 28 percent believe the health care system will get better over the coming years, while 50 percent expect the opposite. Most Democrats believe things will get better, but few Republicans or unaffiliated voters agree.

One question: Did Nancy P read the bill yet? She pushed for its passage, now she needs to include her staff in its coverage.

While we are considering a law that would make illegal aliens "legal" can add an amendment that would eliminate the fine/punishment for American Citizens that do not buy government mandated health insurance?

Illegal immigration is ILLEGAL-against the law.

Our politicians took an oath to uphold the law.

Now, they are refusing to deport illegals.

Therefore, they are in violation of their oaths.

Any elected official who does not favor the immediate deportation of every single illegal, the shutting down of our border and an end to anchor baby citizenship is an oathbreaker, lawbreaker and all around scumbag. Said politicians should be removed from office, put in jail and stripped of all benefits.

OMG: sukie--tell Mamie to pack up the buggy--Yankees are entering Georgia, no Yankees are burning down Georgia. The next time I am forced to make that connection from the West Coast through Atlanta--damn, my Great Grandfather, James McGee shoudn't have been so eager to help General Sherman burn his way from Atlanta to Savannah.
