oldvan, since you’re such a stickler for numbers, why don’t you report to us how many total TAXPAYER DOLLARS Obama and Bush spent on vacations. Then report to us how many TAXPAYER FUNDED AIR FORCE ONE MILES Obama and Bush logged on vacations. Then report to us how many of those TAXPAYER DOLLARS Obama and Bush spent OVERSEAS rather than in the UNITED STATES, especially considering the depressed state of the Obama tourism economy.

As far as days spent on vacation, realize that BOTH Obama AND Bush spent time working while on vacation wherever they were. Typically Bush had official visitors at his ranch in Texas where any money spent on those visits benefitted the US economy. Typically Obama had official visitors at luxury resorts OVERSEAS, which was much more expensive and of absolutely no benefit to anyone in the USA.

Now babble “but BUSH!” again to make it clear you're still just a clueless Obamazombie. LOL

Here are the facts on vacation, oldman aka DementiaBoi.

Obama has spent over $1 BILLION on vacations in 5 years. His African Safari alone cost the taxpayers over $100 MILLION!!!

Bush spent about $10 MILLION in 8 years.

Since employers have a right to monitor the communications of their employees while they are at their job using the employer's equipment shouldn't the American public have the right to see all of the communications of all or our employees, (our congressmen. president, et.al.) while they are using taxpayer purchased communications equipment?

Troll, here are a few facts you should know about Presidential vacations. Obama has taken 92 days vacation to date. Bush took 287 days at the same point in his term. At the same point in his term Bush traveled to his ranch 77 times on the tax payers dime. Get your vacationer in chief right, far right.

Well, since daWraith couldn’t find a better source we’ll have to just give the Vacationer in Chief a pass on his annual MULTI-MILLION DOLLAR TAXPAYER FUNDED Hawaiian Holiday Extravaganzas. And his annual MULTI-MILLION DOLLAR TAXPAYER FUNDED European, African, or Asian Family Adventures.

daWraith, you’d better start finding better sources before this Phony President bankrupts us!

Oh yeah, too late...

Why does Judicial Watch have to SUE to get records of Presidents Vacations?

JW was back at it again on May 6, when we were forced to file a FOIA lawsuit in the U.S. District Court for the District of Columbia against the U.S. Secret Service in order to obtain records concerning use of U.S. government funds to provide “security and/or any other services to President Obama and any companions on their January 1 and 2, 2013, trip to Honolulu, Hawaii.”

On January 2, 2013, Judicial Watch filed its original FOIA request about taxpayer funds used to pay for President Obama and his entourage to travel to Hawaii, seeking access to: All records concerning use of U.S. Government funds to provide security and/or other services to President Obama and any companions on their January 1 and 2, 2013 trip to Honolulu, Hawaii.

I wonderwhy . . . . .

The total for the four trips combined? More than $20 million.

However, holiday vacations to Hawaii hardly scratch the surface. These vacations were also interspersed with trips to locales like Florida or Southern California. In addition, the president’s “mini-vacations” have raised eyebrows. His three-day golf outing at an exclusive club in Florida, where he was joined by Tiger Woods, occurred less than two weeks before the sequester kicked in — even as the White House Blog raised the specter of “harmful automatic cuts” that are “threatening hundreds of thousands of jobs, and cutting vital services for children, seniors, people with mental illness and our men and women in uniform.”

FrontPage Magazine:

"Every president deserves time off. Yet the unabashed luxuriousness of the Obamas’ lifestyle reflects a genuine tone-deafness with regard to the pressing concerns of millions of Americans, as well as the president’s priorities. Even as he blamed sequestration for the decision to cancel White House tours that would have cost a total of $2 million for the rest of the year, it was revealed that the known cost of Obama’s Christmas vacation in Hawaii last year was at least $4 million. That vacation was also the fourth one taken in Hawaii in four years, three of which involved separate flights First Lady Michelle Obama took to get there ahead of her husband.

This year’s separate flight, necessitated by the president’s trip back to Washington to complete the fiscal cliff deal before returning to Honolulu, cost taxpayers an additional $3.24, and ran the total tab for the 2012-13 trip to more than $7 million.

wonderwhiner “spying? Bush good, Obama bad. Wars? Bush good, Obama bad. Spending? Bush good, Obama bad.”

Interesting observation, wonder. Because for you Obamazombies we have the exact opposite: spying? Bush bad, Obama good. Wars? Bush bad, Obama good. Spending? Bush bad, Obama good. But since Bush has been GONE FOR FIVE YEARS, maybe we could focus on what’s relevant going “Forward,” unless that’s just another platitudinous Obamaslogan. Yep.

I have to agree with you on one thing though, wonder. “Deficit? oh, we won't talk about that anymore...” LOL

Wondergoose keeps throwing out the phrase the "deficit is shrinking" hoping to conflate the phrase with our ever growing DEBT. While deficit spending has been reduced from the record setting trillion $ + levels of the last 4 years, Obama will still have deficits HIGHER than any President in history and our DEBT will surpass $20 TRILLION around 2017.

Liberals like wonder can't even tell us what decade our DEBT will begin to shrink let alone what year!!

Keep spewing the same tired talking points as interest on our borrowed money tops a trillion $ a year!!

Calls to several Presidential libraries reveal that President Obama’s predecessor, George W. Bush, was on vacation more — 1,020 days — than any U.S. President since Herbert Hoover and possibly more than any other President in history
