Good for you, mom, for seeing what your doctor dismissed and following through with it. No, your daughter will not hate you. You saved her life, and I pray that it is a long, happy one. There are worse things in life than being blind in one eye. I never thought that doctors around your area were terribly smart when it comes to rare disorders. I think they just blow people off if they don't want to take the time to research it. I am sorry for your panic attacks. As a mother of a child with a rare bone disorder, osteogenesis, I too felt helpless. I will pray for you and your daughter. She is a beautiful girl. God bless you for doing what you had to do.
