Big Mike, what happens if we drop a few bombs and a bunch of cruise missiles.... then Assad is STILL in power?

We are NOT going to put boots on the ground, everybody KNOWS it.

Which is WHY, IMHO, this mission is DOOMED. It is LOSE-LOSE.

Assad the GasMan is a monster and the opposition is the EFFING TALIBAN!!!!

Devil or the Deep Blue Sea.

Nuke them all, let Allah sort it out!!!

Dyingov, yeah we armed Osama bin Laden in Iraq and he created the Taliban in 1979!

It was COOL when he was fighting the Russians.

We don't get it: MUSLIMS hate Christians and America and want to kill us all, only a question of WHEN.

It is NOT a religion of Peace.

O needs a way out of his 'red line' statement, so we will fire a couple hundred cruise missiles into Syria in a punitive response. Welcome to the quagmire.

The Independent

"If Barack Obama decides to attack the Syrian regime, he has ensured – for the very first time in history – that the United States will be on the same side as al-Qa’ida.

Quite an alliance! Was it not the Three Musketeers who shouted “All for one and one for all” each time they sought combat? This really should be the new battle cry if – or when – the statesmen of the Western world go to war against Bashar al-Assad.

The men who destroyed so many thousands on 9/11 will then be fighting alongside the very nation whose innocents they so cruelly murdered almost exactly 12 years ago. Quite an achievement for Obama, Cameron, Hollande and the rest of the miniature warlords.

WHAT AN EFFING IDIOT, Barack Insane Obama!!!!

boweltransplant, I'm sure he will also wait for a consensus of our allies and get a resolution through the UN as the Democrats demanded during the Bush administration.

I'm sure the rapists in Blue Hats in the UN Security Force are looking forward to ripping off those Burkas and other things.

While the Obama Administration plots how to save face concerning their line in the sand, consider that they have already lost face with those people that matter in this case.

Otherwise his attempts to intimidate them would have prevented the attacks in the first place.

No crickets Mr. Wraith. The President doesn't have a recent terror strike like 9/11 to use as a ploy to gather supportfor his concoction about weapons of mass destruction in Iraq. He's on his own, and doing a pretty good job, in my estimation. FO

Let me get this straight. We're going to tell Syria that we are going to strike and when? I can hear the conversation now: "Pres. Asaad. This is John, John Kerry. You know. Sec. of Defense. Of the USA. Just wanted to give you a heads up. We're going to be throwing a few cruise missiles your way somewhere around next Thursday. Probably ought to duck into your bomb shelter, and while you're at it, hide your fighter jets, your artillery batteries and your mobile anti-aircraft missiles. Wouldn't want to do too much damage. Might tee of the Ruskies if you know what I mean. No hard feelings. Your mom should have never given you that chemistry set for Xmas. You can blame all this on her. See 'ya, but wouldn't want to be 'ya." Geesh! When I was in the military the element of surprise was considered a desirable thing to have on your side.

Obama is excited, he has been building up troops in the region for his Syria invasion to help AlQuida, for over a year. Now the lie is in place and we are told that we will strike within the week...but the UN inspectors have not verified anything yet. But the big lie is there so Obama will remove this government (that the Syria people seem to want) and has already told the "rebels" that he is going to knock the govenment out as he did in Libya. And it will be one giant murderous mess. No one kills people better than a liberal US President who has control of military power (HST, JFK, LBJ and the big BO). Fascism always comes from the political left who see power as all consuming, and not from the right who is always wary of more government and more power. How did the American liberal become a war monger in such a short time? Answer: always was willing to kill just did not have the power. Lets kill them all to save them (ala Vietnam War).

Any act of war should be by majority vote of Americans, and those who are in favor required to serve during the war if passed. War should not be something we send our children and others into, but a nationally embraced and personally involved reaction to a direct threat to America. Otherwise we are simply foreign invaders.

Is Secretary of State Flip Flop FOR the war in Syria before he will be AGAINST the war in Syria before he was FOR the war in Iraq before he was AGAINST the war in Iraq.

He served in Vietnam, you know . . . . .. before he was yanked out for shooting too many civilians in the back.

But but but Bush Cheney . . . . .

Only if 15% or more (in a random survey) Americans can pick Syria out on a map!

The US supplies Turkey with arms and Turkey supplies Syria.....Then the war hawks ask, "How did they get those chemical bombs?" The number ONE exported US made product, MILITARY ARMS AND EQUIPMENT! Good for the future of the military machine.......

This whole "Arab Spring" was set in motion by Barry Soetero and Hillary "I flunked the bar exam but I am smarter than you" Clinton.

Sending Lurch Francois Kerry to fix anything more than a broken sail on your yacht will result in further disaster. I wouldn't trust this guy to walk a dog properly.

We do not need to get into another war in the Middle East. I am convinced that these nutjobs do not want freedom. Let them kill each other. That makes it easier for us, later on, when we have to mop up the remainder.

The military industrial complex wants/needs a war, any war and they will have it. One way or another. The USA supported Saddam if fact sold/gave Saddam many weapons of mass in his war with Iran in which millions died. He was a "good " Saddam then. But when he turned into a "mad dog" the USA crushed him and Iraq. The question to ponder is. Is a person more dead by getting gassed or by the USA dropping bombs on the people next door to you. After all. The USA is the "Good" killer of "Bad" people and you as a person living in the middle east should be thankful for the USA killing the "bad" guy next to you. So you should be glad to get you and your family blown up in the process.
