It was kind of the News Register to give the players the clothes for their after grad jobs in the food serving, bartending, and motel hospitality industry.

It's comments like Ragnar that make me dread the start of football season. "My high school team would have put these kids into the ground". Really? That's what's important, huh? "Putting them into the ground". Why not just play because you love football. @nicetry - you are exactly right. Why not a lot more hype for the other sports teams in the area? How about a lot more recognition for the band, the volleyball team, wrestling, basketball, baseball, soccer, track, etc.? I already can't wait for football season to be over!

Ragnar, only you would compose a comment like this. "Morass of metros-xuality"? Yeah, these kids today...LOL. What a jerk you are.

This area goes nutz over Football...there is other sports and what about the bands...They spend hours practicing their specialties and they get no laurals.

The sports editor should cut down on his coffee intake.

Are these kids in the picture considered the local elite?

They do not look very intimidating. Perhaps its' the downward spiral of our culture into a morass of metros-xuality, skinny jeans, hipster glasses and iPhones.

My high school team would have put these kids into the ground.

I wish all of the Valley teams the best of luck this year!
