ATVs cause more damage to natural areas than all other recreational activities combined. They literally shred the top layer of productive soil, cause severe erosion of trails and hillsides, knock down young trees and other vegetation, harass wildlife, destroy nesting areas, cause stream bank erosion and waterway siltation, destroy fish spawning grounds, etc. The tires and tracks transport invasive plant species into previously natural ecosystems. Fly over heavily ATV used areas and you will see a land scarred with rutted trails, stream degradation and wetland destruction.

I'd like to invite Andreozzi and Ennis up to Eldersville Rd in Follansbee area on any given weekend to watch quads, ATVs, and dirt bikes do wheelies down the center of the road using the double yellow lines as a guide. I've once put my vehicle into a ditch to avoid hitting a ATV passing a car on this double line road and have vowed next time to send flowers rather than pay a repair bill.
