atoddh, Don't fall for "it!" Documented hurricane/floods/tornadoes for the last 200 years and they are no worse or better today! Damage is greater for one simple reason, more people tempting fate....

New York is reporting that by 2050 50% more population will live in the coastal flood zones! I believe they just got clobbered last year. So in 2050 the goberment will be telling about the "damages" being worse.....

But the NR/Murray says there is no climate change occurring and no resulting uptick in catastrophic weather events. How can this be happening?

Da mn global warming! Those homes and business that are built by the beautiful clear meandering stream all the sudden are getting flooded......
