DUBAI (Reuters) - Al Qaeda leader Ayman al-Zawahri urged small-scale attacks inside the United States to "bleed America economically", adding he hoped eventually to see a more significant strike, according to the SITE monitoring service.

In an audio speech released online a day after the 12th anniversary of the 9/11 strikes, Zawahri said attacks "by one brother or a few of the brothers" would weaken the U.S. economy by triggering big spending on security, SITE reported."

Not saying it WAS terrorism, but we don't know squat about Alexis yet. Maybe just an angry black man.

The Foot Hood shooting was clearly a Muslim terrorist acting alone, classified as "workplace violence" which the government for SURE classify this DC shooting.

Schools and businesses locked down all day! No terrorism here, move along folks.

As I have been saying to the peeps, "Anyone at anytime can be a terrorist." How do you EVER stop terrorism? Been going on since the beginning of man. Kind of like thinking you will change the religion of the peeps in the Middle East....When you walk around thinking that you are safe because you have a key to get into your work/school.....

WHY, are we as a people allowing these kind of twisted minds access to our best to destroy them? Like Fort Hood tis one should have been profiled to prevent such things. Doesn't matter the skin color. Does matter his past and the past things said to others as in Fort Hood. Funny, this happened shortly after the Imam called for many smaller attacks against people in the USA

I'd like to see more details emerge concerning his navy reserve service and his ability to get employment by a defense contractor along with a security clearance. Last I was aware of military reserve enlistments are for six years (6 months active duty for training and 5 and a half years of monthly drills and summer camps). If this is still the norm why than was his enlistment terminated early and was it taken into consideration concerning his employment?

Isn't this the norm in Chicago every week, 12 dead in multiple shootings? And silence from the left.

This is going to be another missed chance to adderess the real problem of this kind of tragedy. Left wingers will feed on the bones of the dead for political purposes and use this for political agenda work. Its not about Homer's gun in Montana, its about mental illness. This man was crazy and his family knew it, as did others. He had been arrested for violence acts in the past and not prosecuted fully. The problem is not the gun, its the illness. If this man was your brother, what would you do? Mental health care is more expensive than cancer and its not often covered in health insurance plans. Until we address the issue of the mentally ill we will see this time after time. The Aurora shooter was nuts and was under care of goody shrink. Nearly all of the shooters have mental issues and are not treated. Until we stop letting politicians like Obama ramp up his mindless robots for his political agenda, we will simply see this more often. Time to get real about mental health.

whgfeeling: This incident is an example of Homeland Terrorism caused by political correctness,i.e., a person who is a public menace and is ignored by friends and authorities so as not to violate his perceived civil rights. There is a point in mental illness where a person forfeits their civil rights, and we as a society must be aware of, and report, when a friend or associate crosses that threshold.

AOL homepage has some interesting statistics on mass killings in the U.S. over the past several years. They define "mass" as 4-or-more deaths not including that of the suspect. It will be interesting to see how these figures compare with other advanced nations (Canada, GB, FR, GR, etc.).

dahwraith, You had to point out it was an angry black man. How many angry white men have done the same? Triton, You talk about liberals and gun laws and rant about crazy people haven't guns. Well we tried to pass a law that required everyone that buys a gun to have backround checks. So either he passed the check because there wasn't any record of mental problems or he bought the guns from a individual that doesn't require any check. So if all gun purchases required a check and mental health facilities were required to report such people he wouldn't have a gun. But NRA was able to bribe and bully enough of our politicians to stop any sensible gun laws again. So here we go again Cabelas will be sold out of AR15s and ammo again in a few days, after the NRA starts there string of lies yet again.

OhioDum, is the statement that "he was an angry black man" TRUE or FALSE??

Clearly it was true, he got mad at a neighbor and shot a couple of bullets into her apartment. A few acquaintances said he had a burning rage inside.

Typical LIBERAL, can't handle the TRUTH.

How many times have we heard that ALL SERIAL KILLERS AND MASS MURDERERS are WHITE?? Then there the Malvo case a couple of years ago, remember serial killer who was shooting people in malls and gas stations from the TRUNK of his car? A black man and his black apprentice.

So tell me what I have said that is NOT FACTUAL??

Now if you don't LIKE my facts, go frack yourself!!!

Wheezerdawg, how about compare mass murders in advanced countries with white versus white and minority versus minority??

Lets see, I can think of about 3100 murders in one day caused by MUSLIMS, aka 9-11.

Got any race that can beat that??

dah raith, What does DC having tough gun laws have to do with it? He could have bought the gun in just about any other state and brought it to DC. If there was a nationwide law requiring a backround check for all gun purchases maybe he wouldn't have had gun.Oh and in the dreaded Obamacare law people will get mental health and substance abuse coverage. You should check into it!

I do like the fact that the form asks if you are psychotic.....If I was do you think I would check the yes box?

Goberment back-ground checks, another great program!

517 billion+ the the NSA "black-hole" budget in goberment contracts last year. The goberment peeps estimat (because they don't have a clue to the real numbers) that 12-15 million peeps work under goberment contracts. So when the feds report 5 million "workers" don't forget to add 12-15 million.

Tax payer money used to spy on those that are providing the funds, PRICELESS..........
