Hoop, A, do you think power plants come from the Power Plant Fairy? That's capital investments that are paid by one group of people. US!

To the fundamental point: the weather of the last decades show no connection between fossil fuel and the climate. Sea ice, the big indicator algore was so positive would prove he was right, started forming this year at the earliest date since records exist.

So the high prophet was DEAD WRONG. Yet you seem to be able to totally ignore this.

Ignorance can be cured, but stupid is forever.

The recent uproar over armed EPA agents descending on a tiny Alaska mining town is shedding light on the fact that 40 federal agencies – including nearly a dozen typically not associated with law enforcement -- have armed divisions.

The agencies employ about 120,000 full-time officers authorized to carry guns and make arrests, according to a June 2012 Justice Department report.

Though most Americans know agents within the Drug Enforcement Agency and the Federal Bureau of Prisons carry guns, agencies such as the Library of Congress and Federal Reserve Board employing armed officers might come as a surprise.

The Environmental Protection Agency, whose armed agents in full body armor participated, acknowledged taking part in the Alaska Environmental Crimes Task Force investigation, which it said was conducted to look for possible violations of the Clean Water Act."

You better be sure you don't have any overdue library books!!!!

Yes gas will replace coal for power in the same way it did for home heating; for the same reasons. We could go back to home heating with coal to foster mining jobs.

The Fed policy is now: pro gas/anti coal. That is the way it will be going forward.

Look for a big push for gas fueled transport also vs diesel.

From the Chicago Tribune, "Consumers' electric bills likely to spike as coal plants close As stricter environmental regulations approach, some power generators are choosing to shutter their coal-fired plants.

Consumers could see their electricity bills jump an estimated 40 to 60 percent in the next few years.

The reason: Pending environmental regulations will make coal-fired generating plants, which produce about half the nation's electricity, more expensive to operate. Many are expected to be shuttered."

Thanks Obama!!

This piece is hilarious! Let us thank Pres Nixon for his wisdom on creating the EPA. What price for human life? What price for cancer, breathing disorders, birth defects, black lung and death? Coal pollution is serious and our area is one of the worst in America. Coal pollution causes death. Life over money is what my faith tells me. Peace.

When Obama’s EPA “bankrupts” coal-fired power like he told you he would, and your gas and electricity bills exceed your income, don’t worry about heat and food. Obama has a plan for that, too. After 5 years of Obamanomics, a RECORD number of Americans are now surviving on food stamps and living in Government subsidized housing. You can be one of those. Yes we can. The Hope and Change is turning out just like Obama wants it. mmm mmm mmm

Your letter is correct in every detail except one. Electric rates will much more than double. Current rates at current money values will more likely triple. Grandma's power bill to go from 100 to 300 in a few short yrs. Living on a fixed income will have to choose heat or food. but hey the govt. will help pay her bill. Add in govt. inflation costs and the funny money prices are, well an unknown. The Govt. Debt will just keep exploding until the Great crash comes that makes 2009 look like a picnic. This is just another of the many things that Washington is doing to bring the crash sooner.
