Google “Wheeling WV car dealerships” and you come up with at least six in Wheeling (Elm Grove Dodge, TJ’s, Marhefka, Superior, Advantage, Wheeling Auto Group).

So again I wonder why vehicle sales were given an exemption to the city sales tax?

Trollslayer asks: Why are vehicle sales excluded?

Maybe because there are no car dealerships left in the city of Wheeling?????

It's quite premature to judge rather the McKenzie/Herron sales tax is going smoothly or not.We'll know after one year when the new roof is on the Wesbanco Arena, or not,and the infrastructure problems of the city, which the TIF programs robbed from, are fixed, or not. Or not will be the result and there will just be more closed door meetings to get the talking points straight with the Council so that the cover-up will go smoothly.

We need to cut some pork not increase tax. I already go out of state to make purchases and will be doing more of that. I agree with Ragner-think someone needs a math refresher course. What has happened here is shameful.

Nobody wants to cut size of govt. just tax more and look at our numbers. I would like to know the amount of fire and police for city of this size and compare it to the rest. We should not be in the running of buildings anyway that Capital as much as I like it is another fine boon doogle we have gotten into. The Civic Center was precurser and we didnt learn from it. lets stay out of the building bisiness and fields of weeds ideas. They took money from the tearing down houses budget and transfered it to payment on field of weeds. Think we need the houses that have half fallen in already to be torn down but when the 50 grand went to it we dont have any money left. Would like to see that happen in the pike and see how fast they get tore down.The 1 in S.Whg.that has whole side open is "stable" drive by it and see it.

Does the city of Wheeling have $280 million in sales? The Boy Mayor and Herron state that a 0.5% tax will bring in $1.4 million per year. If you exclude car sales, etc. where are they getting these numbers?

Evidence, proof, data, facts? Anyone?

Didn't think so.

Just another lie brought to you by the team of the Boy Mayor and Overpaid Herron.

Obamacare = a tax

Home Rule = a tax

Does anyone in government want to cut taxes and cut the size of government?
