I don't know how I missed this article mr eddy did go on a rant but I understand his point. Actually this is the only thing close to the truth that the wnr has printed about the gas industry. The containment pond in question is on my property I was there on maxwell when the line broke. Bad stuff poured into that creek I saw it personally. The EPA came and said it was basically to hard to inspect the creek. The creek is only 20 yards from a main road. I guess walking 20 yards through a yard makes a creek inaccessible . Trust me I love my gas money but chesapeakes business practices are very very shady. If you wanna see what they call fresh water just stop by one day I'll show you 5.5 million gallons of it . Ducks won't even land in it . I'm glad they left my name outta it

Some people simply have too much time on their hands.

how about waking up and realizing fossil fuels are "America's Ace in the Hole"? Use some common sense.

Don’t you get it? This whole article was clever tongue-in-cheek comedy. It almost had me fooled until “12 ninja warriors can have full time jobs...”

And “a community has to evacuate themselves,” “Aside from Oliver Luck, I have another reason not to donate to WVU,” had me ROTFL. “let us legalize all narcotics, human trafficking, child prostitution, praise Judas, read **** in school and teach 2 plus 2 equals 5”? “What happened about the idea of gasohol”? “minsters use fossil fuels to drive to church to make the laughable assertion that dinosaurs did not exist”? “we are allowed to question Pope Frackus”? “They can fight Godzilla when he emerges from the Ohio River”? Priceless! LOL

Bravo, Mr. Eddy. Looking forward to more of your comical screeds in the Entertainment section.

This is the same guy who wrote an editorial titled "End ‘Fracking’ Throughout the World".

Unreal. Sounds like a real practical solution Mark!

It's people like Mark Eddy that cloud real environmental issues with cookie cutter scare tactics.

I made it a rule of thumb several years ago to discredit any article or column that uses the words "fracking" "frac" or "frackers". If you are too lazy to use the correct term, then you are obviously too lazy to educate yourself on any of the matters you are attempting to discuss.

God I hate armchair environmentalists.

"Frackers are planning on building a frack pad..." It's called a gas well pad not a frack pad. Fracking only takes place typically 1-3 days at each pad depending how many gas wells are going to be drilled on the pad.
