The head money folk in the nation, including those with decidedly conservative viewpoints, have let it be known that a prolonged failure to pass a CR and the possibility of a default on the nation's debt pose a serious threat to the American economy, and indeed the international economy. They have been applying pressure on Congress to put aside petty childish temper tantrums and pontifications and do what is needed to prevent the nation from slipping into another recession - or much worse. Finally, the message seems to be working. Let's hope the "true believers" don't derail the discussions.

Has everyone forgotten what happened to the former U.S.S.R? They went belly up for similar reasons that we are facing now in the U.S.A. It is scary if you read post U.S.S.R. history. I wonder if Obama is so anti U.S.A. that this was his plan all along to bring down the United States. Talk about the ultimate terror plan coming together right under our noses!

"An 84-year-old Obama supporter was arrested by Gwinnett County Police at his home in Georgia Tuesday, after pointing a gun at two female “Overpasses for Obama’s Impeachment” protesters on Sept. 28.

SmithRoy Smith was charged with pointing a firearm at another and three counts of misdemeanor simple assault for driving up and aiming his handgun at protesters Toni Pendley and Marge Moore.

Fear THIS:

"A conservative group claims it has spoken to sources within the Department of Transportation who admitted plans by the feds to order armed National Guard troops to close Washington DC’s Interstate Route 495 tomorrow in order to derail a mass protest and potential blockade being organized by a group called Truckers Ride for the Constitution.

The sensational claim is posted on the Freedom Leadership Conference website, as well as prominent conservative blog RedState****. The annual Freedom Leadership Conference has previously been sponsored by the likes of Judicial Watch and Human Events. "

Fear THIS: Paul Watson:

"Former Assistant Secretary of the Treasury Paul Craig Roberts warns that President Barack Obama could use the debt ceiling crisis to seize total power, by declaring a national emergency and passing an executive order in the name of preventing an economic collapse.

With the government still in shut down over the failure to pass a spending bill, the U.S. faces an October 17 deadline to raise the nation’s debt ceiling, which currently stands at almost $17 trillion dollars.

According to Roberts, there is a chance that Obama could exploit the disastrous consequences of a default to push for dictatorial control."

In a new Associated Press poll, 9 out of 10 people who attempted to sign up for Obamacare online say they were not enrolled.

In other words, only 10% of those who tried to buy health insurance on the new government run exchanges were able to do so successfully.

The poll reveals that around 7% of adult Americans say someone within their household has attempted to sign up to the Affordable Care Act program, meaning that up to 20 million people could have attempted to access the marketplaces via the website.

On the surface this sounds good for the Obama administration, but given that only 2 million of those 20 million have potentially successfully enrolled, that accounts for less than 0.7% of the population.

the short answer ? yourpersonal assets stand for the debts of the united states. If it becomes necessary to take your property to liquidate to satisfy a foreign bank loan, it could be done. read what the currency has printed on it. duh.

The House sent a spending bill to the Senate. The Senate will not give it an up/down vote. Why?

Because a yes vote gives Obama 100% of the spending he requested-except for ObamaCare.

A No vote means that Senate Democrats have to take the blame for the shutdown.

Instead of doing their job (voting on the House bill) for which we pay them, they would rather play games with the slimy piece of garbage Barry Hussein Soetero Obama.

Tell the Senate to vote-Yes or No. That is their job.

The Constitution says that all bills raising revenue must come from the House of Representatives. The Senate passed ObamaCare, which the Supreme Court ruled was nothing more than a new tax.

Since all revenue bills must originate in the House, ObamaCare IS unconstitutional, if people actually cared about that anymore.

I talked to a family today that have a new son, born months early, two months ago. Was 2 lbs 9oz. Is doing fine now and will get home in a few days. Guess what. NO insurance. They don't want any, and they will never get any. They pay their own bills. No, they are not wealthy. They are Amish. Fine people with a big family. So, go ahead and shut the Govt. down. The Americas will continue on.

Someone actually post that Obama is down in the polls?

"There may be plenty of blame to go around for the nine-day government shutdown, but the Republican brand is taking the harder hit in public opinion.

Just 28 percent of Americans have a favorable impression of the Republican Party, down 10 percentage points from last month, according to a Gallup poll. The polling firm called it a "record low," noting that "this is the lowest favorable rating measured for either party since Gallup began asking this question in 1992."

While the Democratic Party isn’t popular either, it fared better, with 43 percent of Americans approving of the party -- down a comparatively small 4 points from September."

If you want to know what the right wing extremists are up to, look at what they accuse others of. Works every time.
