Looks like he was making a statement against the Federal Govt. Like the fellow that poured gas on himself and then struck a match. If this shooter wanted to kill people he would have. He wasn't aiming to kill others. No one will actually know his thoughts. Was he messed up on some kind of mind altering meds, or street drugs or just "depressed" as the woman in DC Shot to death by police for crashing her car? We are living in very unstable times.

we are a violent society!

Loghog, It's worse now than it ever was? You ever read about the "civil" war? Do some research on violent crime over the last 50+ years.

Goberment in wars all the time and the people creating violence on the streets, been going on since the beginning of our Republic....

Most mentally ill people are not dangerous. It is the stigmatization that prevents them from seeking treatment. This is very sad and unnecessary. I am sorry that this man could not get the help that he needed to save his life.

OK, birdbrain, riddle me this:

(1) When in the last 50 years did 20 states and 13 organization file lawsuits against the Federal Government regarding a law that was passed (ACA)?_________________

(2) When in the last 50 years was there SERIOUS discussion and action towards Succeeding from the United States ? (Texas, Maryland, Michigan, Colorado, Oklahoma...????

(3) When in the last 50 years did the EPA, NOAA, Social Security Administration, Congressional Library etc, have a need for 1.7 BILLION Bullets???

(4) When in the HISTORY of this great nation were 49 MILLION people on Food Stamps ____________???
