This isn't about fiscal discipline. The government has already written the check. It's about putting enough of a deposit in the account so the check won't bounce. There should be nothing to negotiate here. That issue was dealt with months ago. You Republican'ts just don't get it

You’re right, cal. There ISN’T anything to negotiate here. The money is IN the account. We take in MORE in taxes than we owe in interest. All Barry Bankrupter has to do is tell his Treasury Secretary to WRITE THAT CHECK. You Democrits just haven’t ever read the 14th Amendment.

Amendment 14, section 4: “The validity of the public debt of the United States, authorized by law, including debts incurred for payment of pensions and bounties for services in suppressing insurrection or rebellion, shall not be questioned.” Write that check, Barry. Then figure out which OTHER program in the Federal Budget that money has to come out of. Oh, that’s right, you never did get around to PASSING A BUDGET. Pathetic, Barry. Start leading. You know, "Forward." And all the rest of that BS you fed us during the campaign.

There are no winners here! If anyone (either D or R) can point to a time when our staggering national debt will be reduced we may have a chance! But sadly I don't believe that person exists among our current crew!

But Barry Bankrupter promises he’ll reduce that deficit, and solve the debt crisis. Just look at his projections. All we have to do is raise the debt ceiling for him. Because as Barry Bankrupter said, “raising the debt ceiling "does not increase our debt.”

Tell that to your credit card company when you’re over your limit. LOL
