Washington times is a free republican news rag with a circulation of 15,000 best used for the lining of bird cages and litter boxes. It doesn't even qualify as a comic book as comic books are known to have at least some factual information.

dah, note that I wrote, "It struck me that I have not read any other reference to President Obama "assailing" the GOP following the ending of the government shutdown and raising of the debt limit."

The WI article leaves the impression that the president engaged in an assailing insult after the Republican members of Congress agreed to end the shut down of the government and passed an increase in the borrowing power of the U.S.. Based on the reports I have read the criticism by the president of Republican tactics took place prior to an agreement being reached. It seems disingenuous to imply that the president insulted the Republicans and gloated over his success afterwards.

Shrinks have labelled President Pouty Face, aka President Stompy Feet perhaps the biggest narcissist in history. Narcissists attract small time narcissists who worship him and want to emulate his big success in their little pizzant world.

Sound familiar , Narcissistdawg??

Rover silly ignorant graduates of the 4th rate WVU can't argue facts so they have to play the ad hominem attack.

Is the number correct, yes or no?

Go back to your basket weaving class at the rest home and stop making a BIGGER fool of yourself than you already are.

I try to keep abreast of the news, particularly national political events. It struck me that I have not read any other reference to President Obama "assailing" the GOP following the ending of the government shutdown and raising of the debt limit. I checked with Fox News to see if they had carried this story, but I did not find it. The president may indeed have criticized the Republican Party following the conclusion of the shutdown, but so far I haven't found a report in another major paper on it. Is the WI referring to comments made before or after the conclusion of the shutdown? Just checking.

Hello? McFly? The educated (that be me and a few others here) read the NY Times and the Wash Post. You know, America's most awarded and leading news sources.

Next you'll be referencing Looney Tunes and Merry Melodies!

BTW, your leading word is spelled 'Congratulations' not Congradulations. Was you raised in a barn? Oh....Ohio...I see.

Congradulations you stupid *****ards!

WashTimes:

"U.S. debt jumped a record $328 billion on Thursday, the first day the federal government was able to borrow money under the deal President Obama and Congress sealed this week.

The debt now equals $17.075 trillion, according to figures the Treasury Department posted online on Friday.

The $328 billion increase shattered the previous high of $238 billion set two years ago.

The giant jump comes because the government was replenishing its stock of “extraordinary measures” — the federal funds it borrowed from over the last five months as it tried to avoid bumping into the debt ceiling. Under the law, that replenishing happens as soon as there is new debt space.

In this case, the Treasury Department borrowed $400 billion from other funds beginning in May, awaiting a final deal from Congress and Mr. Obama.

@wonder,

"Proof tea party cannot fact check"

Present a fact for a change and I'll be sure to check it! The "fact" is that when you usually present anything that resembles a "fact", you end up retreating, changing the subject or otherwise obfuscating.

I'm looking forward to reading (and checking) your factual posts!

@icecream.

Thanks to manipulated interest rates, we will be paying "only" $230 billion in interest payments on our debt this year! That's $230 Billion on a growing debt that we have NO PLAN on how reduce, let alone reduce! And you support action that will add to that debt???

From the Huffington Post, "But the governance-by-crisis also may be prompting businesses to sit on their cash rather than building new factories, buying more equipment and hiring more workers, some economists say."

If Democrats would pass an actual budget it would be crisis averted!!

I believe Harry Reid prefers budgeting by CR vs an actual yearly budget. He doesn't have to answer as many hard questions that way!

@icecream,

"The New York Times pegs the loss of domestic output due to the rolling Tea Party bellicose actions as $300 billion" ~MARK KARLIN

What you and most liberals don't understand is that the $300 Billion in GOVT SPENDING that we can't afford. And $300 billion that will stay in Americans pockets or won't have to be borrowed or printed!!!

And if you actually read the report you cited, "Fiscal Policy Uncertainty" is cited as the main cause. When you don't put together a budget in 5 years you create LOTS of "Fiscal Policy Uncertainty"!!

Here's what "encourages our enemies around the world":

1) Letting China commit outright espionage and cyber attacks; honey traps and bribery-to undermine our defense system.

2) Giving Russia the serial numbers of every nuke we send to the UK.

3) Slashing our military budget.

4) Giving away our missile shield in Eastern Europe and betraying our allies because Dimitri ASKED us to. What did Barry get in return? NOTHING.

5) Abandoning our people at Bengazi.

6) Teaming up with Pantsuits Clinton to overthrow moderate Muslim governments in Tunisia, Libya and Egypt and replace them with radical Islamists.

7) Doing nothing while North Korea and Iran acquire nuclear weapons.

8) Bankrupting the country by stating that spending on pork is more important than saving for the future.

9) Getting elected to the Presidency without any background info, experience, skillset or accompishment.

10) Being a Muslim.

Occupymommysbasement, the Constitution requires a budget be passed every year. It is 57 months and counting with no budget from President Stompy feet, Barry the Brainless.

Technically the Treasury should not LEGALLY spend one dime without an approved budget.

If Obama were WHITE, he would have been impeached for high crimes and misdemeanors.

Occupy; the WE that you speak of could care less about you or any other working class citizen of this country.

While you were cheering for YOUR TEAM, they worked a back-room deal with the community-organizer-in-chief to exclude themselves and their staff from the Unaffordable Health Care Plan because they hadn't had the foresight during their midnight power grab to write that ruling class provision into their bill.

As witnessed by Nancy "we have to pass the bill to see what's in it".

Democracy in action, pass a bill then change it, how many times, by executive order.

That's the TEAM that I don't want to be on. But I'm clad that you WON.

FOTFL................Thanks for the jocularity.
