The majority of WV residents will benefit from the Obama care plan. It will also benefit the WV providers.

As an example, the out of work Ormet folks will qualify for Medicaid now; as will 25%-30% of WV residents. Many more will qualify for Federal subsidies to purchase private plans.

The "Tea Party" NR does not approve.

The tide is slowly turning on the CON MANDER in Chief's plan. Some Dems are turning on him because they are coming up for re election. Gee, they must think most people don't want Obie's plan jammed down their throats.

Yes, those dastardly Tea Party folks seeking to hold the country hostage to delay Obamacare! Those extremely extreme extremists must be stopped. Oh wait, Democrats are calling for a delay?? Nevermind

"In the Senate, West Virginia Democrat Joe Manchin is working on legislation to delay the individual mandate's enforcement for a year. CNN reports that all 16 Senate Democrats up for re-election are expected to support Ms. Shaheen's proposal. In the House, Democratic members are stacking up behind all of these ideas, and more." What is causing "enormous damage" is the sort of fear mongering and outright lying such as is displayed by some members of the staff of this paper.

atoddh, Do some research on medicaid and the requirements for the program! Also note that if you do receive medicaid the goberment will receive funds from your estate, upon death! Report back and tell us the qualifications!

dying most folks on Medicaid do not have much in the way of estates. Those who do can transfer assets(eg home) or form a special needs trust.

25%-30% - or more- WV residents will now qualify for Medicaid. Most others will qualify for subsidies.

The plan is a good deal for WV folks.

It is amazing McKinley was fighting it against the best interests of his constituents.

dying: very familiar with Medicaid. It pays 100%; including most drugs. It is better than Medicare. No supplemental necessary.

All of you are totally missing the real point. The web site failure is just a symptom.

If Health and Human Services can't manage a website launch, what does that say for the design and engineering of the actual system???

They are going to administer the data on most of us, and they can't get this simple data entry website to work?

a, this is the brave new world of government control you look forward to? Based on how well Sibelius and company have done so far, why on earth would any sensible person want this gang in charge of catering a luncheon, let alone our national health care???

atoddh, Do you really think the ormet workers are medicaid material? Asset limit of $3,000 and can have one vehicle!

dying: Medicaid is income based; not asset. You are talking about SSI. SSI would require disability or old age. It does look at assets other than one home and one car; with no more than 3000 in assets..

dying: The Ormet folks will be on unemployment until it runs out. Then? They will qualify for Medicaid.

Who? Manchin?......why that guy would probably use his political clout to twist the arm of the state university to give his daughter a Masters Degree.

What?.......he done that already, and got the T-Shirt! Oh, and he got caught. heh, heh.

Truly a 'DINO'. As Simon the rat asked Charlotte the spider......., 'What's in it for me?'

I notice no one will respond to the idea that if the data entry system is this bad, how good can the main system be?

I'm adding a new control system to the main rolling mill. That's comparable to the actual ObamaCare operations system for decisions on coverage and tracking the histories of us. There's a part of the system that will tie into the main business computer for the order information and accounting procedures. That's like the signup website.

The info transfer work is well under 10% of the package. If they have botched the website this badly, what can the main software be like???

Interesting that atoddh finds 25 - 30% of WV residents qualifying for Medicaid as a success story.
