By the sounds of it Mike wrote this article because his dog attacked a deer. I have multiple dogs in my house and I have seen them go after other animals that come around my house. This is a normal instinct that they have because they are protecting their family.

I agree with Mikeyd that all dogs will chase a deer if not on leash and with true2bun that "not all dogs will turn on children and that it is all about the environment in which they are raised"

So if this article was written just because maggie went after a deer then you may have written this article for the wrong reason because that dog did what it was suppose to do and that was protect you from a possible predator.

This is the stupidest article ever. Not all dogs will turn on children. We have several Aussie- border collie - labs of various combos off. It wasn't till i left wva that I saw that dogs could not have a mean side. It's all about the environment in which all in everyday

all dogs will chase deer.they just think that it's another dog.you don't leave babies alone unsupervised even around cats.
