OV was by far the better hospital, but with the the problems that they have had with administrators with their hand in the pot, afraid their services have suffered. They cant even provide decent insurance for their own employees. Their ER is horrible and too many goof ups. Saw them insist on getting a social security number verbally with others standing behind the patient. I wouldnt advise going to either given medical parks lawsuits for negligence.

You have to love the fraud perpetrated by Wheeling Hospital and other providers.

They do a procedure that costs $1,500, inclusive of operating profit, bill $10,000 for it, get reimbursed (per their contract) by the insurance company for $2,300, claim they gave $7,700 in free care.

THIS is where those "charity" care and write-off numbers come from.

Do you REALLY believe that a poor, uninsured person will get the exact same quality and depth of care that a wealthy and/or well insured patient will get?

Mind you, I am not advocating for ObamaCare. The only thing that Medicare does right is come up with the actual cost of any and all procedures, including an operating profit. Medicare's numbers are often 80% less than the hospital Chargemasater. See the problem there?

PA? Since no one in WV would ever vote for him. He lives in PA - no wonder. Give back to the community? WRONG. The other hospital in town - OV does all the giving to the community. What a joke - if you say Bransfield you get front page....

You want care and giving, go to OV and the Martins Ferry caregivers.

Did the judges talk to the hospital employees to get their view?
