Never, Ever Close The Monuments

November 11, 2013

Sometimes, our elected and appointed government officials just do not think. It happened just a few weeks ago, during the so-called “government shutdown....

Randy Neugebauer? Wasn't he the guy who deflowered RockeReputation when she was in 10th grade?

Or is it the buck-toothed guy on the front of Mad Magazine?

Wonderful thing about modern electronics is everyone and his sister has a camera in the phone. All sorts of videos of people being evicted from the Grand Canyon, and trying block access to Mount Vernon, and on and on.

Some of them will make great campaign ads next year. Could be really fun.

Minivan, do you know who was, until she died, one of the largest stockholder of Halliburton?

Claudia Johnson, better known as Lady Bird Johnson.

When Dick Cheney was elected VP, one of his first acts before taking office was to return all his stock options for his time at Halliburton. At the time they were worth tens of millions. Clinton, by comparison, has made tens of millions from supporters and speaking engagements. So Cheney lost millions to be VP, and Clinton milked it to make millions.

oldman, you mean that phony war that Obumbler’s Vice Presidunce Jokin’ Joe “Two Blasts” Biden, Obumbler’s Secrebarely of State John “Winter Soldier” Heinz-Kerry, and Obumbler’s former Secrebarely of State Hillary “Butcher of Benghazi” Clinton VOTED FOR?

Or maybe you’re trying to say the evil genius Bush was smart enough to fool Obumbler’s entire entire inner circle? Because you loons usually claim he was too stupid to spell Cheney and Halliburton. LOL

The "I actually voted for the bill, before I voted against it" Party strikes again!

... and again Democrits blame Republicans for those Democrit-passed, Democrit-signed bills. Now put the word "Period" at the end, Demorats, just to emphasize how serious your broken promise was.

cont....."The first bill took money allocated for future food stamp use and used it instead to prevent states from laying off teachers. Democrats supported the bill grudgingly, lamenting that it would cause a food stamp cut in 2014. When it came time to support a second bill that raided future food stamp funds once again, pushing the cut to November 2013, they protested -- at least at first."

Hey at least they protested a little before they passed it! That makes up for it all, right?

@hoopie,

"the conservatives cut or eliminated them"

Conservatives???

From the Huffington Post, "But the cut, which will reduce monthly benefits for all 47 million Americans enrolled in the Supplemental Nutrition Assistance Program by roughly 7 percent, is happening thanks mainly to Democratic votes that hastened the demise of a benefit increase from the 2009 stimulus bill. Each of the representatives at Tuesday's presser voted with their party for a pair of 2010 spending bills that set the cuts in motion."

And cal, so the Democrit solution to low military wages is to give everybody higher food stamps? Seriously?

Consevatives think simply raising military wages would be a more direct solution to that problem, but of course you Democrits think the solution to EVERY problem is more welfare... Derrrrr.....

cal, did Barry Benghazi ever reimburse those military families for the expenses associated with bringing the bodies of their combat-deceased loved ones home to America? Or are CONSERVATIVES still covering those costs to honor those American war dead and their families? Yeah, pathetic indeed.

But I suppose honoring American soldiers killed in battle isn't part of the "hope and change" agenda... Maybe next President...

This editorial demonstrates what is wrong with republican'ts. Form over substance. Don't provide them with things they need. Just keep a memorial open. Pathetic!

hoopie’s Golfer in Chief allows his National Park Service to close the Veterans memorials, and hoopie blames conservatives for that. Hoopie’s Droner in Chief allows HIS Department of Veterans Affairs to treat veterans poorly, and hoopie blames conservatives for that. hoopie’s Bankrupter in Chief signs the bill that cuts food stamps, and hoopie blames conservatives for that.

Democrit denial is so funny. mmm mmm mmm, pass the buck...

What a stupid joke this article is. We pay those who protect us so little that they have to get food stamps to survive, and then the conservatives cut or eliminated them. The health care of veterans is horrible, yet Congress turns their backs and does nothing. Our young people go into the most dangerous places in the world and come home with emotional issues and Congress throws them into the street. Over 60,000 vets roam our streets homeless yet Congress does nothing. Only a total idiot says don't close the memorials while turning their backs on the true needs of our Vets. This article is truly a joke.

RockE, you can bet your bottom dollar that Cruz's list of "most hated"parts of Government did NOT include the Veterans' memorials. All the Barry-cades clearly indicated what was on Barry's shutdown list, though.
