Nepotism is only good if you or the people you like are the "NEPO's".. same as with double dipping. Court houses and school systems are always filled with it.

@VincentVega: Nepotism has nothing to do with it. It is everywhere!!! It's the people on the BOE that need fixed. I suppose if your wife worked at a job and it paid Seventy Thousand a year and you could get a job there also you would turn it down? If a relative works for you, you have to treat them like any other employee and you must make them follow the rules.

The majority of Marshall County educators are skilled and devoted. They have some control over cronyism and partisan hiring influenced by Board of Education members. Husbands, wives, nieces and nephews, decades of nepotism that has contributed to declining education for children whose parents remain blind to the greed and misdeeds of "leaders" of the Marshall County school system and former and current members of the Board of Commission. STOP THEM!

They that built it should be a shamed of themselves, and the BOE should be a shamed of themselves for picking the place to build it. Should have picked a higher place to put it. What a cluster! Just like Middle School right on the side of a hill. Marshall Co. BOE should be all voted out except John Miller. Water leaks! Go buy some blue tarps and throw them over the roof. If you do not do anything to the contractors, "Shame On You," Like I said, "Time for new BOE Members!"

Wasn't that school built by Union Workers? If not maybe the Union should do a commercial and say "See, you should have hired us to do the job."

The Marshall County Board of Education remains clueless and shameless. Hopes for a solution also remains an exercise in futility and their lack of competence illustrates the peril of students seeking decent facilities and deserving education.

This group knows more about IHOP SERVERS than it does about IT servers.

I would hope that the school district is still holding retention from architect, construction manager, general contractor and specialty subcontractors until all repairs are made. Without $$ as leverage, good luck in getting action. Operating manuals are typical part of closeout submittals required on all construction projects. Sad thing is that with water comes mold if materials were not dried and disinfected properly. This project seems cursed with a legacy of problems moving into future. The warranty period is quickly expiring. Feel for students and community that they clearly got nothing close to what they paid for.

Marshall County Schools has 3 IT employees so Lori Kestner, again, is in the dark.

Agree with dyingov. Lori doesnt have any idea what the the tech people do but they only have two so they must need more. :-( How about using those tens of millions of $ in servers sitting in a WV closet somewhere.

Someone must need a job!

"Technology is moving so quickly, with the level of implementation of new technologies I really think there will need to be more IT people than the two we have in the county," board member Lori Kestner said. "I think between the two schools, we would have plenty of need and use for an IT person."

Servers and printers have not "moved" quickly, Lori....
