Dying, that would be "exceptions", but don't let the English language get in the way of your version of the facts.

Yes, Padlow did a "great" job as commissioner! Assault and DUI Hit-n-runs, must be a pattern in Marshall County Politics!

Would anyone care for me to post the US Census numbers in Marshall County oveer the past 30 years? Right or wrong direction is the question.....

2014 election OPEN for candidate filing period: January 13, 2014 to January 25, 2014. There are some acceptions to this STATE CODE (3-5-7) but you will need to call the Secretary of States office to get the information.

DYING----Negativity: Yes ...Hate: NO ....He (or she) does seems to like to let FACTS get in the way of opinions at times. Most of us who lean to the right or left can't stand that.

The dyin types can be male, female, or from Mars for all I care, but their hate and negativity speak volumes for the lack of decency and respect that must pervade their lives 24/7.

OH, ML I didn't know you changed positions right on ELECTION DAY in WV. I thought terms ended at year's end. Thanks for clearing that up

DinoCrocetti: You are wrong. He said he is resigning at the end of 2014 which means it will be AFTER this upcoming election. Therefor, the REPUBLICAN committee will recommend his replacement and the VOTERS will NOT get to choose his replacement. He should do the right thing and resign so the voters to pick his replacement.

My guess is Mr. Schambach is staying till next year so the choice of his replacement will be left to the voters instead of being appointed. 2014 is an election year, thus Marshall County will be chosing 2 commissioners instead of one, much like it did in 1976 when the late Charlie Helinski had to be replaced.

Well said, Liberty. You're absolutely right about the "dyin" posters. He can his "peeps" and "sheeple" where the sun don't shine. He, like Professor Wraith and others arise each day with a chip on their shoulders, lookingh for a puppy to kick. How sad!

No, that is not what I said. I said the dyin types have no positive contribution to offer and only post negative blather that has no redeeming value. If someone is appointed to fill the term before his is up in 2016, so be it. That person would then be on the ballot the if he/she desires in 2016.

Very amusing that "liberty" would rather have commissioners appointed rather than elected. Thanks for my morning laugh! That is certainly the definition of "liberty".

I'm glad he mentioned the various accomplishments that Commissioner Padlow initiated during his terms in office and never got credit for. And any appointee would be 100 times better than the dyin types who hate everything and everybody and have nothing more purposeful in life than to post absurd comments on every article written.

THANK YOU MARSHALL COUNTY VOTERS!

SHAMBAUGH has achieved major goals during his brief time in office; he has freely spent taxpayer's money and has never missed a paycheck! He has now decided to reject the decision of "democrats" who elected him and seek office in Ohio where he can share his wisdom and loyalty with our neighbors.

He has done a good job. Shambach did not come to the job from a political job, he is a businessman not a career politician. I agree that it would be better if his resignation allowed for him to be replaced by an elected person instead of a political appointee. One of his strengths in office is that he is not a slave to a party or political group. Commissioner Miller who comes from the same kind of background will end up being the senior commissioner in his first term in office.

Now let us take note on when the actual resignation will be. The timing is critical! Do the good citizens a favor and "officially" resign so your successor can be elected by the peeps and not appointed by the Kessler clan! If the "clan" gets to pick it would likely be a fellow drunk that lost a bet.
