Great news! It"s called protecting yourself!! If a druggie, homeless person, thug, punk, regardless of color assaults you, beats your head off the sidewalk, breaks your nose, etc. They may get lead poisoning from my 38!!!

Let's see, this ‘Stand Your Ground’ version ain't quite enough...

. besides slashing CCW training from 12 hours to a couple hours of shooting range time at whatever target distance any instructor is in the mood for.....

let's write into this bill that Ohio gun toters can not and will not be subject to such silly charges as Inducing Panic and/or Disorderly Conduct whenever they exercise this 'constitutional right' at a shopping mall near you or your loved ones.

rockhead, 38,000 violent crimes in Ohio REPORTED in 2012! How many times do you think the cops were on the spot "protecting" your peeps from the crime?

Interestingly the crime rate in areas with high Democrat voter registration is higher than those areas that are mostly registered republicans! LOL

I guess without a gun, the hair on fire crowd doesnt know any other ways to protect themselves, other than running away? Unbelievable that some are still supporting Zimmerman. 3x arrested for violence? As I said when he shot an unarmed American child, it is only a matter time before he kills another innocent and unarmed person. Zimmermans guns give him a lot of bravado against women and children that he needs to feel like an adequate person. Wonder why Zimmerman never joined the military if he likes to shoot and threaten people with guns? Oh thats right, some people shoot back.

Fantastic!

Brutal video is coming in from various places, including Pittsburgh, where a teacher was attacked, and London, where a teen was hit from behind. On Tuesday afternoon, CBS 2 learned of another victim — a 78-year-old woman attacked a week ago Saturday in Midwood.

It’s called the “knockout game.”

The victim in Pittsburgh was 50-year-old James Addeslpurger. A 15-year-old was charged with assault.

Bring it on teenage trash! Now we can drop you like a pack of skittles. Yes, do be afraid and change your behavior. As for libbies, da heck wif um.

"rockhead, 38,000 violent crimes in Ohio REPORTED in 2012"

Violent crime in Ohio in 2012 was slightly over half of what it was in 1991, einstein.

So yeah, nore households need guns for their aspiring Adam Lanzas because that's the kind of society we need to aspire to in the 21st century, pilgrim.

The STG law should be extended to include intervention by a person, with a permit, to intercede when they see an assault or a crime being committed. They would have to warn the perpetrator once to stop and if the person didn't, it would be legal to shoot them.

rockhead, And the REPORTED violent crimes in 1961 was 7,900! What is your point? If you are 1 of the 30,000 does it matter about the other 29,999? When the rate is 0 let us know! LOL

It has been my general observation that people that feel the need for a concealed carry permit are the people that have the problem of letting their mouths write checks that arse can't cash.

Opponents including black legislators, youth and church groups decried the dangers of an Ohio "stand your ground" self-defense proposal on Wednesday, as the expansive gun measure cleared the state House.

Of course the Black brothers would oppose the law as it might eliminate some of their voters, youth groups would oppose the law because their unrestrained violence and idiocy could come under fire (pardon the pun)and the church groups have to appear as if they really care. Lock and load!

As for Zimmerman, I agreed with the verdict. He was perfectly justified to stop someone slamming his head into the concrete repeatly.

The recent altercations are disturbing, but under the circumstances, the man has been under a lot of pressure. People threatening his life before the trial, during the trial, and even now after the trial.

This babe is nothing more than a golddigger, that will come out in the court.

Another rubber stamped proposed law by corporate America. The American Legislative Exchange Council has written up over a hundred bills that can be picked up by legislators to help fulfill the corporate agenda. This is an ALEC bill. This is corporate controlled legislation. If you like being under the control of corporate America you'll love this type of legislation. Don't you find it interesting that bills like this introduced in republican controlled states are all worded exactly the same? If you are paying attention, and maybe you are and just like corporate America telling you what to do, what to like, how to make the corporation more powerful, hundreds of proposed bills are all written up and ready to be adopted by your legislature. Fascism could not be better set up than what ALEC is trying to accomplish. So if you like corporate America calling the shots, you'll love their proposed laws to govern us. ALEC already is controlling much of our lives and there is much more to come.

I am a RESPONSIBLE 70 year old woman with a CCC permit and consider myself to be prime PREY in today's society. "Stand Your Ground" will only encourage all those raging idiots out there to try to prove themselves to be another Zimmerman. I can protect myself and family without it as my husband and I have done for years.PS: It is legal to carry a gun on your hip (which is not concealed) without a permit under the Constitution but you can be arrested for disturbing the peace.
