Here’s the Big Obamacare Lie

December 14, 2013

The good news, the son of a friend of mine told him, is that he finally was able to sign up for health insurance through the Affordable Care Act, or Obamacare....

Progress

..in lieu of the fact that single-payer was not an option due to the political hailstorm that is the GOP firebrand

...is that 6 of the 7 million people forecast to sign up will receive an avg tax credit of $5,290 per year.

Luckily for the "son of a friend of mine", if he has now, or ever acquires a home mortgage, laws exist wherein his homeowners insurance must cover the cost of his property and he won't be forced into the "freedom" of buying junk homeowners insurance that replaces 20% of his house after a catastrophy.

...'cause I doubt we'd want him at the government teet as he struggles to rebuild.

This plan has a higher deductible, but did you inquire how much is covered compared to the old plan?

I know some one in the same boat who has a chronic illness. The doctor he has been seeing for the past 10 yrs is not on Obama's list. He has to find a new doctor. Several have turned him down because they are not accepting new patients at this time. Welcome to the new world of Obama land where Big Gooberment is in charge of destroying our health care system.

RockEReputation: Any one who would buy homeowners insurance that only covers 20% of his house should not be permitted to purchase the home. This is idiotic.

As Obamacare gets more popular and people find they can get coverage for the first time in their lives, the desperation from the rightwing increases.

JackP17..absent from 2nd grade the day they covered reading comprehension?

wraifferbait: According to a ASPE Office of Health Policy report released Wednes: "1,827,440 completed applications were submitted to Marketplaces during the first two months of the initial open enrollment period including applications that were submitted to the SBMs and FFM. These completed applications correspond to 3,692,599 individuals who have applied for coverage through the Marketplaces during this time period."

I realize that number is too high and too low for an uninformed FOX servile dependent such as you.

RockE, maybe you don’t realize that the number of “completed applications” does NOT equal the number who have “obtained insurance.” Entering your personal data into the glitchy, unsecure website doesn’t mean you’re insured. You then have to select an insurer, select a plan, determine your subsidy, and... here’s the funnest part... PAY for it. There are glitches at each step of that rocky road, too.

With less than two weeks to the already-delayed enrollment deadline, the Obamascam is in complete Obama chaos, and the Obamboozler White House is in full panic mode. At least Barry can take some Christmas joy in that Lie of the Year award your own liberal fact checker Politifact gave him. He DID build that.

WHile I'm in the knowing that ACA enrollees numbers listed AS OF 11/2013 didn't use ****** to institue their coverages that need be in effect the 1/2014

...I'm also aware that Mitt Care attracted about 120 enrolleess its first month (AND resulted in zero GOpeers firing the base to pray for its failure since their multiple attempts to repeal it failed)

RemedialReputation was home schooled by a badger!

Since cACAcare requires you to give up ALL of your information just to get a quote, Slayer is right, APPLICATIONS mean nothing.

VAST VAST majority go on the site and find out THEY CAN'T AFFORD IT and STOP.

But they completed the application.

And of those who COMPLETE the application, a high percentage do NOT PAY because they are the Obama Deadbeat welfare crowd.

And THEN, if they DO PAY, the back end processing is so glitchy, that info does NOT GET to the insurance companies, so come Jan 1 they may find out they have RockeCare which only covers sickness that occur on Feb. 29 of every year!

USA Today 11/13/13

"WASHINGTON — Just 26,794 of the 106,185 people who selected health insurance last month used the troubled federal exchange site, Health and Human Services Secretary Kathleen Sebelius said Wednesday.

The remaining 79,391 people used the state exchanges to enroll, for a total of 106,185 people enrolled from Oct. 1 to Nov. 2. That's a fraction of the 7 million people the government estimates will buy insurance during the first year of the Affordable Care Act."

I think Rocke got his numbers from the ASPCA as they count in dog years. 1 REAL enrollee = 7 imaginary people in cACA-speak.

Minivan, takes some IQ pills and call us in the morning!

daFACTS not the daJack:

NY POST:

"The good news, if you want to call it that, is that roughly 1.6 million Americans have enrolled in ObamaCare so far.

The not-so-good news is that 1.46 million of them actually signed up for Medicaid. If that trend continues, it could bankrupt both federal and state governments. Medicaid is already America’s third-largest government program, trailing only Social Security and Medicare, as a proportion of the federal budget.

Almost 8 cents out of every dollar that the federal government spends goes to Medicaid. That’s more than $265 billion per year."

its FREEEEEEEEEE!

wraiffer quoque wiffer

Since 85% of the cost of treating the uninsured is paid to the hospitals and clinics who treat them with your tax monies..

..and only adds about %900 a year to your family health insurance premiums

You thus seem like a giving sort, so..will you be making any donations to the poor this Christmas seeing how your ilk has cut SNAP benefits for the needy by $1.40 per meal here in the richest nation in history?

RacketeeringReputation is obfuscating the obvious here in that daWraith has completely destroyed his "1.6 million Obamascam registration" talking point of the day.

Lets go over it again, student of FAIL:

""The good news, if you want to call it that, is that roughly 1.6 million Americans have enrolled in ObamaCare so far.

The not-so-good news is that 1.46 million of them actually signed up for Medicaid. If that trend continues, it could bankrupt both federal and state governments. Medicaid is already America’s third-largest government program, trailing only Social Security and Medicare, as a proportion of the federal budget."

So the naysayers are the truth speakers in that less than 200K signed up for cACAcare while most took the welfare route through their STATE.

Besides, ObfuscationReputation, even MessiahCare admits there will be STILL 30 MILLION uninsured who will show up at Hospital for their burrito removals, so when is my insurance going to go DOW

Rocke,

While the uninsured obviously add costs to the system the $900 figure (Families USA study?) seems very high. Kaiser sets the costs at 1.7% and an older study by the Lewin Group at $85.

"RomneyCare" did reduce uncompensated costs from $616 million to $414 million (40%), but subsidies cost over $800 million.
