It is about to get worse, this business of charity, because people don't have the money to give. Where I live, there are no homeless shelters, no food pantries, or places to obtain unquestioned assistance. If you don't want your britches to get soaked, you have to learn to get along with family members. What I do see in neighboring towns are people who panhandle enough to buy their booze and drugs while bemoaning their lot in life to agencies that feel they are doing good. Find out where these miscreants are having their checks mailed to and tell them to go there.
