CDBG Push Begins For Local Agencies

Christmas may be over, but local agencies that feed Wheeling’s hungry, care for its sick and house those who have nowhere else to go are just now compiling their wish lists for the city’s Community......

Dyinggov- 1.6 mil of the non-profits applied to the IRS for tax exempt status on their income.

It is about to get worse, this business of charity, because people don't have the money to give. Where I live, there are no homeless shelters, no food pantries, or places to obtain unquestioned assistance. If you don't want your britches to get soaked, you have to learn to get along with family members. What I do see in neighboring towns are people who panhandle enough to buy their booze and drugs while bemoaning their lot in life to agencies that feel they are doing good. Find out where these miscreants are having their checks mailed to and tell them to go there.

Tax payer money for the non-profits, interesting! If the program is worthy I'm sure people would make direct donations! When the goberment (City) is handing out money that belonged to others......
