@goose,

Well let's see what the left wing news has to say! From the NY Times, "No testimony or documents have shown that the governor called for shutting down the lanes or was involved in any discussions to conceal the political motive behind the closings"

Left wing posters always changing the subject when Dem negatives discussed!

Republicans against any further investigations of Chris Christie political retribution scandal.

Right wing media refuses to provide people with the news.

"Senator Kessler's position is supported by all rationale interests in keeping the 'INTEGRITY OF GOVERNMENT'......... " ARE U SERIOUS VV? "Integrity" and "government" don't belong in the same sentence no matter who is in charge.

WV auditor: 35 years in the same family!

You think this could have something to do with kessler and the boyz not wanting the attorney general snooping around?

The current officeholder is Glen Gainer, III. He was first elected in 1992, replacing his father, Glen B. Gainer Jr., who had served as state auditor from 1977-1993.

Phony General

Senate President Kessler was jointly responsible for enacting the audit against the former Agriculture Commissioner. His position and interest remains that the proper authority vested on the office of legislative audits should continue their objective and professional obligation. Senator Kessler's position is supported by all rationale interests in keeping the integrity of government out of the hands of a corporate prostitute!

I think they should just do what the Federal Govt did with the IRS investigation. Appoint a democratic donor to do the audits. It's a win/win

It is pretty bad that anyone, in office during this period of time, could actually suggest that audits are not needed. It certainly points a suspicious finger at them. And it is the duty of the Attorney General to take those cases so hoping to deflect suspicion by mouthing political slogans makes it seem even worse. AG Morrisey took over one of the most corrupt Dem bastions in the state's history and found it to be just that. I loved the comment of a secretary in the office saying that the first day the new AG took over, they saw lawyers who had been paid for years as Assistants and who had never been in the office. Considering our history of corruption its not surprising that Agriculture, held for decades as a Dem pork center, would be found to be corrupt. Its an open battle of career Dem politicians trying to stop audits. Denying audits is tantamount to admitting widespread corruption and hoping that corruption will be able to protect corruption.

Kessler more audits and longer mandatory jail for violaters for failure to protect the taxpayer from corruption. If the Dems do not want to do the job vote for someone who will.

The practice of fraud, waste, and abuse in WV is starting to come home to alot of people with this spill. Time to vote out those who refuse to protect the taxpayer of West Virginia

@VincentVega - what a useless lame-brain comment. We currently have the Fox in the Hen house with the Democrats raiding every state fund and profiteering with their friends. When $15,000 salaried WV State Senators have multiple homes in multiple states, all from their influence peddling and government position, while their community goes down the toilet??? - Something darn sure needs audited!

It is about time and it is not about political parties. I suggest that there are many who have sinned and that they need to fess up and help the investigators. A man was arrested in WV for child molestation and he said he did not do anything everyone else was doing!

Vincent, don't be silly. Have you seen Morrisey's reverse layup? No comparison to Rodman.

MORRISEY THE DENNIS RODMAN OF STATE GOVERNMENT! The need for additional & increased scrutiny of government is incontrovertible. However, empowering Morrisey to audit state government agencies is the moral equivalent of authorizing Willie Sutton to guard a banks.

WV has been one party ruled for 80+ years, not good for the peeps of WV. Gainer is one of the boys and likely does nothing to protect the tax payer. I would see that State Attorney as having the authority to audit/investigate any area where he "suspects" illegal activities.

WV would be served to put a majority of R's in the House/Senate and gobernors office and let the shake-down begin!! Actually be for the good of the WV peeps!
