But don’t go away mad. Embarrassed maybe, for being such an azz...

SMALLSAYER: critiquing minor typos and using lol in your tenth post on here, (lol used in every one, are you a 7 yr old girl lol ***** so bad stop using it dummy)This is why you people are exploited, your land destroyed. an obesity rate of 31.1 percent, this state also has the highest percentage of adult diabetes in the nation, at 11.6 percent. Not only are the most adults smoking in West Virginia, but they're also smoking the most. The average West Virginian smoker buys 113 packs a year, compared to just 23 packs per person sold in Washington, D.C. Drug overdoses are the leading cause of accidental death in West Virginia, and the state leads the country in fatal drug overdoses. This is just some facts about how stupid the adults are, not time to destroy your terrible schools, high dropout rate, teenage pregnancy.

WVyoursodamndumb, we may be dumb, but we’re smart enough to know the contraction for “you are” is “you’re.” So now every time we see your misspelled name on one of your brilliant posts we’ll just have to LOL about how smart you aren’t.

Oh, and there’s a difference between the words affect and effect. You chose the wrong one. Now tell us again who’s the da mn dumb one here so we can LOL at your brilliance again. LOL

Never seen whites live so bad, what a shame, worse than pathetic. On the bright side, it won't be long until your state becomes uninhabitable. Wheeling smells, it reeks so bad, buildings grimy from acid rain. The lead levels in your soil are very high, this effects brain development and function. You could test the soil for yourself, but you won't, too stupid. Dumbest fattest weakest= Most Exploited

Goosewhiner, did the Elk River spill occur because of a lack of environmental regulations? Or at least because Republicans opposed some specific environmental regulation that would have prevented it?

And what political party has controlled the WV Government, and thus controlled the WV Dept of Environmental Protection, for decades? Why didn't you WV Democrits put in place the environmental regulations, and then conducted the necessary inspections and enforcement, to prevent that spill?

No, easier for you to just babble about "right wing extremist media" to take the heat off another of your Demorat-dominated Government failures... LOL

Give it a few months, and like all other environmental disasters, the right wing extremist media will ignore the status quo of profit over safety and again begin their daily campaign of headlines "war on coal", "slash unnecessary budgets for enforcement" and "we don't need no stinking environmental regulations". That is until the next disaster and then again they will feign their dishonest concern for the people and the environment. You can bank on it.

swingdog, unless you are lead dog the view is the same namely the rear end of the dog in front!!!

WV is the last vestige of the crooked corrupt Southern Blue Dog Democrat KKK state, the land that time forgot.

You elected a KLAN MEMBER for Senior Senator for more than 50 years because he delivered the pork to the voters.

How did THAT work out for ya?? WV never grows up, it has to*****on teats of the federal government.

First, I have changed my moniker. Still the same ole dog, though. Just decided to move up through the pack to a different position.

Insofar as the "WV is a Cult" article, the truth hurts - especially when its so blatantly obvious. WV has been door mat for so long that people seem to take pride in having others wipe their feet on them. Who in their right mind can be proud of poisoned rivers, decapitated mountains and a public health nightmare?? All-too-many WVers glorify those who tell them that they should be grateful for people who transform their once beautiful and bountiful landscape into a ravaged strip-mine and hazardous waste dump. Why is it that WV is so far down the totem pole when neighboring states prosper?

Sounder, The public thinks that going to the polls (less than 50% of them) once every 2 years is all that is required. That assumption might be viable if they bothered to educate themselves about the candidates! When the incumbents are called out by a challenger the message gets silenced by all the special interest money that goes to the incumbent! 90% of the peeps think politicians lie, cheat and steal and just chalk it up as the norm.....

At least in Wheeling, when I was growing up, the adults would discuss city and political issues as though they were completely removed from any involvement in how they happened nor how they might be addressed. This wasn't just from the close relatives gathered at Grandma's house in Warwood, this was a constant refrain from their friends. A lack of engagement; yes, you might be able to label the state as some kind of cult but more probably a mining claim with too many dwindling small towns kept alive by subsidies because well, they've always been around. Do you need even a small population to exist within a mining claim when so much of that industry that remains is mechanized? Why keep those small sad places alive with infusions of make work jobs when most of those places have no future in a modern economy?
