The "Wall of Gold" at Bishop Donohue. and The House of Gold is in the Elm Grove area. That is where Bishop Bransfield lives. Private Chef...huge water fountain in the garden...gazeboes...heated towel 40,000.00 kitchen. Watch out if Pope Francis visits...he would tell the Diocese to sell it and the bishop would be moving back into the bishops residence behind the cathedral. Just saying.

This is a nice thing they do and its nice that the Bishop went to see it. It has not been that long ago that his chain gang was looking for ways to close the school. Bishop Donahue has always embraced the mission of educating Catholic youth. Not many kids with silver spoons in that school but it has always been a concept that you do not have to have money to be a Catholic. Now there is a Pope who seems to embrace that idea as well. Wonder why vocations are down, cuz they don't foster them well in public schools or by part time pastors. There should be no greater goal of a Diocese or religion than to educate kids well and within the faith. It has been the cornerstone of the faith's survival in an anti religious nation. Hope that the Bishop joins in that mission and sometimes he does do things in that direction. BTW I am not a BD grad and don't live there either. They just have my admiration for surviving the obstacles placed in their way, both inside and outside the faith.
