Kasich made $1.4 million in 2008, which included that Lehman bonus EARNED IN 2007 and paid in 2008.

He & his wife donated $27,326 to charity and paid $463,288 in taxes, or about 100 times what your average West Virginian WHO ACTUALLY WORKS pays in any given year.

ragnar, Maybe he spends money in his private life like the politicians (including him) do with tax payer money. Let us count the times that the local/state/feds are wanting more money. We can then compare these same groups and how many times they are returning/saving the money they already have. Have any guesses how that will turn out?

If your going to assume he gives to charity please look it up before you write it down! LOL

BTW, when Lehman Brothers went down Kasich received $400,000 bonus! Don't you like how companies go bankrupt and put the bad debt onto the investors and tax payers while the players walk away with pockets full of money? Got to like the American way! So you elect them to run the state of Ohio! Gamers and scamers....

He earned six-figures at Fox News, had a best selling book, worked for a time in the financial industry and now earns six-figures as governor and he is only worth $1.4 million?

Either he is lousy with his money or he gives generously to charity. I assume the latter, as Democrats are known to be quite stingy when it comes to charity, whereas Republicans are more inclined to actually help others out of their own pockets.

Me thinks he protests too much...power and money have been the roots of abuse. Donations from corporations ahve produced regulators in Ohio who do not regulate. the nice ones were fired by this man who does not worship money.he hasn't a leg to stand on.God help us!

richardwee, Kasich is doing a great job! Now would you suppose that the 17 BILLION that Ohio has received in stimulus money helped? 17 billion from the federal goberment (borrowed money) to keep the state from really experiencing the recession! Smoke-n-mirrors that the voters/sheeple can't connect! Funny stuff if it were not so sad!
