February 21, 2014

We Americans disagree, sometimes fiercely, about government policy and priorities. Liberals argue with conservatives. Republicans do battle with Democrat....

I’m guessing this is another mindless ‘piece’ from the Bard of Wheeling’s Press. Whatever, it’s an ‘oxymoron’ penned by a ‘moron’.

Even as the writer pleads for press freedom and denounces Obama as a culprit who is behind oppressing the press.....HE GETS PUBLISHED OPENLY !

DUH! He is not muzzled in any way from writing whatever he pleases. Garbage and lies though that may be and is. Har Dee Har HAR! What a ‘maroon’ as Bugs Bunny would say.

sounder “The sky has been falling (along with everything else) for decades along the Ohio River; for most of the past forty years... Did the N-R editorial board suddenly realize their "House of Cards" is supported by a dwindling supply of coal?”

Waiting for sounder to suddenly realize the sky-falling communities along the Ohio River have been Demorat-controlled for the past forty-plus years... Coincidence? Derrrr.....

And there’s still plenty of coal down there, available to provide cheap energy for whoever chooses to take advantage of it. You leftists insist the coal companies sell it to foreign countries to boost their industries rather than allow American industries to take advantage of it. As if who benefits from burning all that cheap coal matters in your anthropogenic global warming scam. LOL

Ogden Newspapers--a conservative newspaper publisher serving small market dailes or weekly papers--how would anyone tell if they were free or even under attack? The sky has been falling (along with everything else) for decades along the Ohio River; for most of the past forty years. The Washington Post, under the ownership of Jeff Bezos of Amazon**** fame--probably a vanity purchase since most major newspapers have been losing money for years...and influence. Did the N-R editorial board suddenly realize their "House of Cards" is supported by a dwindling supply of coal?

I wonder if all these “Progressive” parrots really believe that when their disinformation campaign to completely undermine the Constitution succeeds, and when the “Progressive” New World Order they’re “hoping and changing” for finally takes power, they’ll be appreciated apparatchiks in the new “Progressive” regime?

I hope you like that boot print on your face, Progressive sycophant tools... LOL

Our local paper is under attack all right - by the relentless, hysterical right-wing agenda of the Ogden newspapers or whatever they call themselves these days.

If this paper was truly neutral in its reporting, the right-wing haters such as Malkin would be balanced by an equal number of progressive, forward-thinking columnists.

Nope. Not this paper. What we have is a herd of sour, bitter and angry writers and readers who long for the dead past and are terrified of the future.

I guess those two groups deserve each other. I know where to go for the truth.

@oldman,

Or how about this NY Times article from 2003?

"AFTEREFFECTS: PROHIBITED WEAPONS; Illicit Arms Kept Till Eve of War, An Iraqi Scientist Is Said to Assert By JUDITH MILLER Published: April 21, 2003

A scientist who claims to have worked in Iraq's chemical weapons program for more than a decade has told an American military team that Iraq destroyed chemical weapons and biological warfare equipment only days before the war began, members of the team said.

They said the scientist led Americans to a supply of material that proved to be the building blocks of illegal weapons, which he claimed to have buried as evidence of Iraq's illicit weapons programs."

Wow oldman! Fox News manipulating the NY Times in 2003! Now that's impressive!

@oldman,

"how about weapons of mass destruction"

"By the time the war against Iraq began, much of the media had been conditioned to believe, almost as an article of faith, that Saddam Hussein's Iraq was bulging with chemical and biological weapons, despite years of United Nations inspections. Reporters dispensed with the formality of applying modifiers like "alleged" or "suspected" to Iraq's supposed unconventional weapon stocks. Instead, they asked "what precise threat Iraq and its weapons of mass destruction pose to America" (NBC Nightly News, 1/27/03). They wrote matter-of-factly of Washington's plans for a confrontation "over Iraq's banned weapons programs" (Washington Post, 1/27/03). And they referred to debates over whether Saddam Hussein was "making a good-faith effort to disarm Iraq's weapons of mass destruction" (Time, 2/3/03)." (Fairdotorg)

So, I'm guessing NBC, WaPo & Time were getting their inform
