caltransplant, Most of the "Hispanic" counties of the World are considered "third World" countries! So do the best of these countries come to the US? Funny stuff. Move to Southern California and tell me about the tolerance? Funny funny stuff! Whites, Blacks and Hispanics living hand-in-hand and singing songs! Funniest stuff!

caltransplant, Ohio County 93% white, Marshall County 97% white! As I said, "self segregate!" funny stuff. Move to Homewood (Pittsburgh) and I will give you credit for leading the charge on the World becoming a more tolerant place! funny stuff, fool!

The beauty of living in a Constitutional Republic is that we are all equal. In a Democracy, 51 people can vote to take away the rights of the other 49 people in a 100 person room.

In a Republic, 99 of the people cannot vote to take away the rights of the 1 holdout.

We each have the right to practice our religion, or none at all-EQUALLY.

Gay marriage (joke) is in violation of the teachings of a number of religions.

By requiring one person (religious) to recognize gay marriage (gay person), the government is elevating the wants of the gay over the rights of the religious citizen.

Your rights do not trump my rights. I have the right to oppose gay marriage. You have the right to support it. Being gay has nothing to do with race, ethnicity, handicap, etc. It is a choice or preference.

By requiring me to recognize sham gay marriages, the government is stating that gays are permitted to trample on my rights. Their rights are made superior to my rights by government fia

sme, the moral insanity began with your first comment, and it continues. Likewise, ignorance, hatred, bigotry, etc... With each generation, the number of people like yourself fades. Humanity does have a future!

Getaclue, I'm fairly certain that the inter racial marriages were between a man and a woman. Your argument needs some adjustments.

clueless, The legislature of Ohio passed the anti-miscegenation law in 1861 and that same body of law makers repealed it in 1887. So should we put the same sex marriage question on the ballot (the peeps voted on the issue in 2004) and let the peeps decide? Sound fair?

Clueless, you're the dolt who claimed a majority were against it. Unless there was a vote or a poll or something, how do you know? So you tell us when the vote was. Unless you just made that racebaiting crap up, as you usually do. LOL

What the outcome of that vote on inter racial marriage in the state of Ohio ? I simply can't remember how that ended up.

Clueless "I'm pretty sure the majority was anti inter racial marriage"

That's a pretty dark view you have of the majority of Americans. When you honestly believe the majority of your fellow citizens are racists, why are you still living here? Don't forget that a majority of Americans elected an African American as President, so racism isn't as pervasive as you race baiting Demorats would like to think it is.

truthless, So maybe it's time to change the laws (this one is a CONSTITUTIONAL AMENDMENT to the Ohio Constitution) based on poll numbers? I got news for you, for every poll you find the majority is on-board at 53% I will find one with the opposite majority!

Your poll: Caller (pollster) asks "are you gay?" Yes, "I have some questions for you."

Caller asks, "are you gay?" No, Click!

The law of the land will now be conducted with phone and online polls!

truthless, You get the award for one of the best ideas in 2014! funny funny stuff.

I'm pretty sure the majority was anti inter racial marriage so maybe we should let the state of Ohio invalidate and not recognize those also.

thetruthforonce “federal judges, by virtue of the Constitution, have a duty to interpret the Constitution. We are a nation of laws”

We’re glad you’re finally fully onboard with Supreme Court decisions. Like the Citizens United decision. Corporations are now people; the Supreme Court has spoken. And we’re glad you’re finally fully onboard with the Supreme Court decision in upholding Michigan’s ban on Affirmative Action. Affirmative Action is now racism; the Supreme Court has spoken.

So we won’t be putting up with any more whining from you leftists about Supreme Court decisions, right, truthless? LOL

Actually, S'more, Reuters has just reported that, in fact, a MAJORITY of Americans polled support the rights of gays and lesbians to marry. The number reported is 53% in favor, up from 32% in 2003. So, your rapidly fading anti-gay views are views of the minority. Further, my legal scholarly friend, federal judges, by virtue of the Constitution, have a duty to interpret the Constitution. We are a nation of laws, not of small-minded bigots such as yourself.
