She was born August 18, 1927, in Benwood, a daughter of the late Rocco and Louise DiGiacoma Solomone.
She was a retired employee of the Louis Marx Toy Company, Glen Dale, W.Va.; and a member of the St. John’s Catholic Church, Benwood.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by a son, David Joseph Flading; three sisters, Jeanette Porterfield, Helen Evanich and Virginia Peacemaker.
Surviving are her beloved husband of 59 years, James W. Flading, Sr.; three sons, James W. Flading, Jr. and his wife, Judy, of Appleton, Wis., Ronald Flading of Benwood, and Richard Flading and his wife, Jodi, of Wheeling; three daughters, Denise Ueltschy and her husband, Mark, of Wheeling, Rosemary Pavelka and her husband, Gerald, of Orlando, Fla., and Joyce Ann Flading of Benwood; a brother, Albert Solomone of Benwood; two sisters, Edith Thomas of Lansing, Ohio, and Mary Jane DeCocco and her husband, Patsy, of Columbus, Ohio; seven grandchildren, Brian Flading, Kevin Flading, Mark Ueltschy, Chad Ueltschy, April Pavelka, Chris Eastwood and Courtney Eastwood; five great-grandchil dren; and several nieces and nephews.
There will be no visitation.
Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 10 a.m., Friday, September 28, 2007 at the St. John’s Catholic Church, Benwood with the Rev. Joseph J. Hayden, S.J., as celebrant.
Interment in Mt. Calvary Cemetery, Wheeling.
