Here we have a comedy that should appeal mostly to the younger female set. Amanda Bynes plays a college freshman who plans to join the same sorority to which her mother belonged, but she soon learns that the sorority girls on campus don’t want someone who has aligned herself with some of the campus outcasts. Instead of buckling under the social pressure of the campus beauties, she enlists the help of her dorky friends and attempts to take over the student government. The trailers I’ve seen make this look like one of those films people refer to as “cute,” but I’ll be able to tell you more about it next week. (PG-13)
