He was born October 18, 1928, in Dunbar, Pa., the son of the late Charles D. and Mabel Hardy Hair.
He was retired from H. W. Trushel Construction and the City of Weirton, Director of Public Works.
Mr. Hair was a veteran of the US Army during the Korean War; former chief of the Weirton V.F.D. No. 1; a member of the V.F.W. Post No. 2716; American Legion Post No. 10; Weirton Moose Lodge; and the B.P.O.E. No. 1801.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a brother, Charles W. Hair; and sisters, Doris Zorn and Nina Stillwagon.
Surviving are his wife, Alda Trenker Hair, whom he married in Dunbar, Pa., on July 21, 1950; brother, Howard Allen Hair and his wife, Elsie, of Weirton; brother-in-law, Joseph Trenker of Dunbar; sister-in-law, Mildred Renninger of Fla.; and several nieces and nephews.
Friends will be received on Friday from 2-4 and 6-8 p.m. at Steel & Wolfe Funeral Home, Inc., 380 Penco Road, Weirton, WV, where funeral services will be held Saturday, October 27, 2007, at 11 a.m. with Pastor Donald Dague officiating.
Burial in Chapel Hill Memorial Gardens.
