HELM, Russell R., 87, of Wheeling, W.Va., died Sunday, November 18, 2007, in Pittsburgh, Pa.

Born in St. Mary’s, W.Va. on October 30, 1920, Russell was the son of the late Sylvester and Virginia Athey Helm.

He was the retired office manager for Ormet Consolidated Aluminum; and was a WWII veteran of the U.S. Army.

Russell was a member of St. Vincent de Paul Catholic Church, Elm Grove; and the American Legion Blake Brothers Post 46, Benwood, W.Va.

In addition to his parents, Russell was preceded in death by his wife, Sophie Ozimek Helm in October 2007; and his daughter, Stephanie Heestand.

Surviving are his son-in-law, Eric Heestand of Pemberville, Ohio; three grandchildren, Kristopher Lucius and his wife, Ann, of Boston, Mass., Nicholas Lucius of Chicago, Ill., and David Lucius of Minneapolis, Minn.; and three nieces, Barbara McCuen, Mary Margaret Wonsevicz, and Teresa Wonsevicz and her husband, Raymond.

There will be no visitation.

Friends are invited to attend Mass of Christian Burial which will be celebrated on Wednesday, November 21, 2007 at 11 a.m. at St. Vincent de Paul Catholic Church, Elm Grove.

Interment will follow in Mt. Calvary Cemetery. Wheeling.

Memorial contributions may be made to the charity of the donors choice.
