Allan F. Cooper

COOPER, Allan Francis “Coop,” 59, of Paden City, W.Va., died Wednesday, November 21, 2007, at his residence.

Allan was born August 18, 1948 in Tyler County, W.Va., the son of the late Paul Clifford and Mabel Dessie Lazear Cooper.

He was a former employee of Corning Glass Works and Sprouse Building Products of Paden City; a member of Marietta Moose Lodge No. 1823; Paden City Sons of American Legion Post No. 86; Fraternal Order of Eagles Aerie No. 2281; social member of Sistersville VFW Post No. 6327; and a member of Paden City Christian Church.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by two brothers, William and Don Cooper; and two sisters, Betty Workman and Linda Dunn.

Surviving are his wife, Sherry Sprouse Cooper; son, Troy Cooper and his wife, Melissa, of Charlotte, N.C.; two daughters, Trisha Ripley and husband, Jason, of Charleston, S.C. and Tanna Cooper of Charleston, S.C.; four grandchildren, Jordan Cooper, Maggie Cooper, Autumn Ripley and Chase Ripley; five brothers, Jack Cooper and wife, Roberta, of San Diego, Calif., Roger Cooper and wife, Linda, of Russell Spring, Ky., Reggie Cooper and wife, Joyce, of Portsmouth, R.I., Keith Cooper and wife, Norma, of Long Beach, Calif., and John Paul Cooper and wife, Bernie, of Choetaw, Okla.; sister, Ann Huffman and husband, Jack, of Sardis, Ohio; sister-in-laws, Mildred Cooper of Steubenville, Ohio, and Nettie Cooper of Spring Valley, Calif.; special sister-in-law, Lori Herbold; many special friends and family; and his loyal companions, Brinkley and Raider.

Friends received 2-4 and 6-8 p.m. Sunday, November 25, 2007 at the Jarvis Funeral Home, Paden City, where funeral services will be held 1 p.m. Monday, November 26, 2007 with Ron Crowe officiating.

Interment at the convenience of the family.
