Agnes was born November 19, 1918 in Wheeling, West Virginia to the late Fred and Mary Thoman.
She graduated from St. Joseph’s Academy in 1937. The family then moved to the Kansas City area in 1957 and fell in love with the Mideast. Agnes retired, after 19 years of service, from Hanover Insurance Company in 1981, where she was an underwriter. She was a long time member of Christ the King Church and most recently St. Thomas More Church. Agnes was also an active member of the Ladies Auxiliary of the Knights of Columbus John F. Kennedy council where she served as President in 1992.
Agnes Loved to play the piano and dance the Polka. She and Jack were regulars on the dance floor at the Knights of Columbus parties. Thank god for Aggie Klug!!!
Agnes was preceded in death by her husband of 55 years, John J. “Jack” Klug; her brothers, Joseph and Charles Thoman.
She is survived by her sister, Mary Ellen Cochran Dickman; and her brother, Oscar Thoman, both of Wheeling, West Virginia; her son and “the girls,” Jack and Ilene Klug of Florisant, Mo., Patti and Roger Carroll of Manchester, Mo., Nancy and John Loughner of the home, and Pamela Klug and husband, Bob Clinkingbeard, of Orlando, Fla.; 13 grandchildren; eight great- grandchildren; numerous nieces and nephews; and her furry friends, Fred, Rodger and Ralph.
Visitation will be from 4-6 p.m. Friday at the Muehlebach Funeral Home, 6800 Troost Ave., Kansas City, MO., where the rosary will be prayed at 5:30 p.m.
Mass of Christian Burial will be 10 a.m. Saturday at St. Thomas More Church, 11822 Holmes Road, Kansas City, MO.
Interment will be in Mt. Moriah Cemetery.
